REAL Pressure on the Palestinian Authority

REAL Pressure on the Palestinian Authority

By Andrew L. Jaffee; netwmd.com

Here’s an under-reported event that just might help push the “Palestinian Authority” (PA) to start cleaning up the terrorists who still roam free in the West Bank and Gaza:

A federal court in the US has frozen all the assets held by the Palestinian Authority (PA) in the country. The ruling by the court in Rhode Island comes after the authority failed to compensate relatives of a Jewish couple shot dead by Hamas militants in 1996.
Both the PA and Hamas were ordered to compensate the family, under a American law allowing suits against groups responsible for killing US citizens.

The Palestinian envoy in Washington said the order paralyses his office.

The PA's assets in the US are reported to be worth at least $1.3bn. …

The head of the PA office in Washington, Hasan Abdel Rahman said he has been unable to pay employees for the past three months.

"It paralyzes the function of the office, and I think that is the intention of the plaintiffs," he told AP news agency after the latest decision.

Are we to feel sorry for Rahman and his “employees?” Remember that the PA has been caught red-handed funding terrorists. Under fearless leader Arafat, the PA stole lots of UN, US, European aid money.

Let us hope these funds stay frozen until the PA starts reigning in members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the PFLP, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, etc., etc.

First of all it was wrong of Bush to sign the wavier to open the PA office in the first place.
Second, would we have had a Nazi office post Shoah/war?

The whole thing is ass-backwards and bankrupt of morals.

"Let us hope these funds stay frozen until the PA starts reigning in members of Hamas, Islamic Jihad, the PFLP, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, etc., etc."

How many years have we been waiting for the PA to START 'REIGNING IN' TERROR?
How many millions of times have we toothlessly asked them to do so? And how many years have they gotten away with not doing it? Does anyone really think this is going to make a difference?? Abbas already said how many times that he will not disarm Hamas, Islamic Jihad, etc? How much more proof is there? Yet watch, the money will flow and the palestinians will get what they want. The quartet of wolves will see to it.

It was beyond wrong in the first place to give them money. Now we are freezing it with smoke and mirrors.

Don't let the wolves in sheeps clothing fool you. Remember, they already took the costume off and we should darn well know better.

I think you mean "reining in terror", though "reigning in terror" is certainly appropriate.

Dan, spell it any way you choose because the palestinians are not going to cease terror in the manner in which it permeates every inch of their society.

Everyone knows this from the mighty to the lowly. Yet in the end the world will have richly and unjustifiably rewarded them for killing Jews. Plain and simple.

Freedom, statehood and democracy are earned from the core of ones soul, never given on a silver platter.

Discipline comes from within and can not be created with smoke and mirrors by wolves who care less what the end result to Jews will be.

**REAL PRESSURE??**

Real pressure is along the lines of:

"Do not call until your transformation is not only COMPLETE but REAL. Then and only then will we 'negotiate' what you need."

History shows us without a doubt the brave and difficult changes people made with no carrot and certainly no phony stick.

Words are empty. They are also like elastic which can be twisted, turned and spoken out of both sides of ones mouth.

'Deeds' are the measure of a human being.

You are right, Chen. I think it is time that they stop playing politics and get real.

The world has it's hands tied because truth is not the common practice anymore. Everyone is so busy covering up, that the only real thing is and always has been the Torah and the Torah Jew.

Politics makes me ill. What Bush should have done to his friends who wasted our money, is to retract all agreements with the PA and allowed Israel to solve the problem. Then these's Sharon.

What Bush should have done was realize he was take the helm with Colin Powell early on in his presidency.
What Bush is is another unTorah Paul's Pal.....who has never gotten the message of the Torah but uses it like a free pass into the hearts of the rest of the Sunday goers in the US who don't know God at all.

My typing is getting so lazy, I'm sorry. What I meant to say is that Bush was the captain who didn't stop Colin Powell. The ideology of Colin Powell was continued with Rice and Bush looked like a patsy.

June 30 2003 Colin Powell:

When I meet with Prime Minister Abbas this afternoon, I will urge him to move quickly, very quickly, to implement security reforms and to come forward with specific plans to take responsibility for security in Gaza and Bethlehem. The United States will stand at his side as he takes steps, courageous steps, to create new institutions and a prospect for a better life for Palestinians. We will work intensively with Prime Minister Sharon and Prime Minister Abbas. The pace and urgency of our work needs to be maintained in order to capitalize quickly and decisively on this moment that history has given to us.

MH: Then Powell goes on to say: We have been working not only with you, Mr. Prime Minister, and Prime Minister Abbas, but with our friends in the European Union, members of the quartet [the United States, European Union, United Nations and Russia] and other friends

MH: Here Powell was clearly saying that Sharon was not held in any higher esteem than Abbas.... And Abbas was a front at best. Then Powell has the quartet I call...Blair says, "sounds good to me"...Sharon says..."sounds good to me"...Bush says...."sounds good to me.".....Putin says to Abdullah....ha ha ha..they are so stupid!!!!

This is a CNN article http://www.cnn.com/2003/WORLD/meast/06/20/powell.sharon.transcript/

CNN... I despise CNN and am practically convinces that the Saudis own the copy.

REPORTER: ... Mr. Secretary, targeted assassinations have been a problem between the United States and Israel for some time. The two sides seem now to be coming closer together. Has this problem ceased to be an issue between the Untied States and Israel? And if so, could you explain how that came about?

POWELL: The prime minister and I have discussed this on a number of occasions, as I have with a number of Israeli officials over the last couple of years. As the president said at Aqaba, the security of Israel is uppermost in our mind, and it has to be the priority of the prime minister of Israel to defend his people.

WHAT!!!!!! THEY ARE CONVINCED THAT WE ARE ALL STUPID!!!!!

Now listen to the empty as can be following statements and ask yourself, how do they get away with this???
And we know that there are occasions that arise when terrorists are coming in, and let's characterize them as ticking bombs, and we know a bomb is heading in. And we can understand the need to intercept such a terrorist and deal with that individual and make sure that innocent lives are not lost.

When one goes beyond that and expands those kinds of activities to individuals or to situations where it might not be a ticking bomb, then, as we have discussed, the consequences of such action and how they play in to our broader efforts for peace must be taken into consideration.

And that is the position that we have discussed with the Israelis on many occasions and I think it -- the implications are rather clear and understanding of our position should be clear.

MH: What is clear to me is that we have been conned. By a group of men that have learned to walk all over the people of the world.

Now, ready for more garbage...here it comes....
REPORTER: Mr. Secretary, Israel has agreed to a limited period of time under the title cessation of violence. We heard their foreign minister [Silvan Shalom] talking about it. At that time, what are your expectations from the Israeli side regarding military action, and what are your expectations from the Palestinian side?

And if I may please, a quick question to the prime minister: Has Israel decided to limit its operations in any way during the first period when the Palestinians are supposed to organize their own forces?

POWELL: Both sides made commitments at Aqaba. In addition, at Sharm el-Sheikh [in Egypt] the day before, Arab nations made commitments. We expect all sides to meet their commitments, and we expect all sides to exercise some patience in order for the other side to be able to meet their commitments.

MH: Why quick? Ever hear of body language...?

This takes my breath away:

SHARON (through translator): My commitment is the commitment to the security of the citizens of Israel and to the security of the state of Israel. This is what I have assumed on myself, and this is what I will do.

We have proposed to the Palestinian Authority to assume responsibility as fast as possible for those areas where they seem that they will be able to make sure that there will be peace and security. What we will do the moment that they assume responsibility ... until that time, we'll of course continue with our operations. We know that it might take a few days until they assume responsibility, but once they do, everything depends on their performance. One thing always takes precedence and priority, and that is the security of the citizens of Israel. I am committed to that.

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY DID ISRAEL VOTE FOR THIS MAN? OR DID THEY?
