Terrorism must be defeated

Terrorism must be defeated

The speech by Bush today in Idaho was a barn burner. I predict that support for the war will go up 10%.

I couldn't help but contrast his position of staying the course in Iraq with his pressure on Israel to withdraw.

Nevertheless I still believe that he will not allow the emerging Palestine to be a terrorist state. He will not give in to the terrorists in Yesha as he is not giving in to them in Iraq. He has said as much.

In this regard, the Roadmap contains something for everyone but only the US interprets it and applies it. Israel and the US are on the same wave length more then you realize. Forget abvout posturing. Look at what actually is happening.

I also believe that despite the rhetoric of Rice, Israel and the US have an agreement on the need to deal with Palestinian terror first. Sharon, Mofaz and Bush have said as much.

The presses continuous hammering away at the President has taken a toll in the poll numbers, but when "W" takes it to the people they see that he is still the right man at the right time. I suspect that the press will have to eat some crow (whether they admit it or not) when thousands of "Pro-Troops & Pro-America" families show up in Crawford this weekend to show the world that the hundreds (at the most!) of anti-Bush protesters do NOT speak for the majority of us.
I hope and pray for our troops and our President and for our friends and allies in Israel too...this latest go-round in Gaza is very troubling and I can only hope and pray that the reasons for this have not yet been revealed to someone as ignorant as I am in these matters, it just seems to me that giving concessions to those that have used nothing but terrorist methods is a bad decision.
