Israel's endgame

Israel's endgame

by Dr Gabriel Dekel

Letıs not blame everything on Sharon after all he correctly claims that he inherited a certain political reality. The reality is the ³peace process² and Oslo. The reality is also a demographic problem created by Israel rulers of 1948 which did not want Jerusalem but a socialist utopia instead.

Letıs not put all the blame on the Israeli Left. The nationalist camp has also failed by failing to push in earnest the ultimate solution to the demographic problem.

There are millions of hidden Jews who deserve to be brought home. These are the Crypto Jews of the Hispanic world, the Sabbotniks of Russia, the Bnei Menashe of India, and alike. There are other millions of people who yearn to become Jews and wish to follow the path of the Inca Indians. The rabbinical establishment had forced on us limitations on conversion. These limitations have been a result of the Christian and Muslim repression in the past, as well as the self-serving interests of the Israeli Left at present.

This repression is so profound that there is a total absence of public discussion on the merits of mass conversions. Mass conversion occurred in Jewish history in the times of the Hashmonaim, the Kazars of Russia, the Ancient Jewish kingdoms of Yemen and Abasia and, if you read the scripts in Persia (the happy conclusion of Megilat Esther.) The success of the early Christians in Alexandria, Egypt, was due to a ³preparatory work² of Jews among the locals who followed the seven rules of Noah.

Sharon cannot change the reality of the demographic losses consequent to the Holocaust and assimilation, the interests of the oil conglomerates and anti-Semitism. He even cannot force Jewish birth rates to rise. Consider this given the most optimist scenario that there will be no international intervention to force Israel out of Judea and Samaria at the current population growth of 5% - which is very impressive (Israel Jewish population grows 2% annually) The Jewish population beyond 1967 borders will reach 1 million in --- 14 years. Israel needed one or two millions in Yesha area - Yesterday
