I am very sceptical of all of this. Posted by: felix quigley on September 3, 2005 06:06 AM
I´m very very sceptical of all of this.If Israel/Us decides to attack Iran after a terror attack on US soil, the entire Middle East will turn into chaos. If Israel participates in all-out war in the region, the islamist people of Pakistan will overthrow the dictatorship of Musharraf, and they will declare the war on Israel...and uhoh...Both,Pakistan and Israel have nuclear weapons...Think it again, please--- Posted by: Joseph on September 3, 2005 10:37 AM
Pakistan's Dawn newspaper is probably using some literary license when it wrote Islamabad decided to meet with Israel because of the Gaza withdrawal. It's probably got a lot more to do with the US acting to smooth out rough India-Pakistan relations. Some of the main oil pipelines being finalized involve these countries. Pakistan has a solid - but unreported - history of assisting the US. Lord Kissinger departed from Pakistan for his secret 1971 trip to PR China opening the way for US-PRC diplomatic recognition. I believe the Islamic fascists of Pakistan are less to worry about than the so-called Council for World Jewry. Kol tuv, Posted by: BobW on September 3, 2005 10:55 AM Post a comment |
Pakistan, Israel talks deal Iran a blow
"Israel and Pakistan, in talking openly for the first time ever, have taken a bold step in extending their diplomatic horizons, and in potentially changing the face of Middle East politics. The immediate loser is Iran, which becomes further isolated, but Tehran can still turn things around".
Such is the synopsis of Safa Haeri's discussion in atimes.com of the Israel - Pakistan little shocker.
