A disgusting thing I read today

CNN.com has an article today: Israel Suspends security efforts with Palestinians In this horrible example of so-called journalism, the three young people murdered by the Palestinians are mentioned only as "settlers", in the sub-headline and the body of the article. They can't bother mentioning that the three were young 'kids' minding their own business who were murdered in cold blood, much less their names or anything else about them. Just that they were settlers, with the connotation, I am sure, that they are the guilty parties here, not the animals who murdered them; calling them "settlers" instead of giving ANY details of who they were is just a bald attempt at dehumanizing these three young people.

Write CNN after viewing the article and express your displeasure. It probably will do no good, as CNN remains the worst of the media outlets, but I felt better after my harshly worded response to their perfidy.

In contradistinction to this, the AP article I saw on Fox.com, Israel Suspends Contact With Palestinian Authority After W. Bank Attacks, did mention the ages of those murdered and though it said they were from a settlement, never LABELED them as "settlers" and was altogether a better-written story.

Finally, Saab Erekat is quoted in both articles as saying the murder of the Israelis was "unfortunate". What a great word for an expression of sympathy. Unfortunate. Mr. Erekat and his minions should just go to hell, and the Israeli leadership needs to permanently discontinue contact with this group of amoral people who UNFORTUNATELY do not want peace, but instead delight in death and murder.

Great comments. Isn't also appalling that GW has been silent on this. A suggestion George, cancel this week's meeting with the terror supporter Mazen.

yogineocon, Bush will welcome Abbas with open arms. He will once again spew false and undeserving praise upon him as he did in their first meeting.
I guarantee it.

The whole issue of statehood began by Bush right smack in the middle of the second intifada. I assure you Bush will finish it. Furthermore it will not make an iota of difference that Abbas has done nothing and will do nothing.

In the end the ones who will pay for this farce will be Israelis. The palestinians will have their terror state given on a silver platter and life like death will go on.

The US State Department and the Palestinian Authority must be made to understand that enough is enough! There can be no further negotiations, talks, easing of restriction, release of prisoners until the PA takes active measures to detain and disarm all the various terrorist groups that are plying their murderous trade in Eretz Israel. Since Mazen is not prepared to do so that marks the end of the Road Map. The first duty and obligation of any State is to secure the lives of its own citizens.

I learned, many years ago, as a young man, that if you allow a bully to pick on you or to hurt you or your friends, it will become worse. My phylosophy changed when a bully hit me with his fist and I clobbered him with a brick. I won many fights until I won their respect or fear. The same holds true for today in Israel. It is time for Israel to tell Bush, we don't won't your help nor your aid. We will handle our problem our way.

You did not put up with Hussein and the Bathist, we will handle the Palestinians. If the Arabs want peace, we will support it, but if they stay belligerent, they can die for their cause.
