Alexander Downer: "Extremist Islam Holds Little Appeal"Trackback PingsTrackBack URL for this entry: Comments
This was interesting. Alexander Downer is definitely world class representing Australia. It was especially interesting how he addresses nuclear nonproliferation. When the International Atomic energy Agency's El Baradei proposed a 5 year freeze on nuclear fuel plant construction, the Aussies - even with no commercial nuclear plants - did not support this. I'm hoping Australia adds nuclear generation to its energy mix. This will close down the Arab thieves faster than the Arab-Arab infighting. Ref Downer's "As such, the threat of extremist Muslim terrorism affects the whole Southeast Asian region.". This is hyperbole. Two areas in SE Asia are SR Vietnam and China's Hainan Province. Muslim terrorism has yet to hold more significance than common levels of crime in these areas. SIDEBAR: Andrew, was thinking of you when I read a job ad in a magazine. Verbatim: RESEARCH PROFESOR OF ISLAMIC STUDIES For complete information consult our website: www.StrategicStudiesInstitute.army.mil The application deadline is December 9, 2005. ================ Besides the US Congress assisting the Saudis, soon we'll be paying some sinecure to lecture on Islamic ritual slaughter. The politico-military Islamic studies were already completed by Jefferson's Consul to Tunis William Eaton (Captain, US Army) and Lt Presley O'Bannon, USMC. They destroyed the Birbary Islamofascists 2 centuries prior to the Army's ad for another surplus professor. Kol tuv, Posted by: BobW on October 23, 2005 06:24 AM Post a comment |
