Dancing in the streets for North Americans and other Western nations is a throwback memory to the 60's pop culture, part of which was the culture of "happenings" and "love-ins" popularized at times by dancing in the streets. These times were memorialized in the Mommas & Pappas song, by that name which most of us can still hum.

Not so for Palestinians today. Reported in the Jerusalem Post today is the opening account which serves my purposes here:

"Thousands of Palestinians took to the streets of Kabatiya, south of Jenin, Wednesday night to celebrate the suicide bombing in Hadera, which was carried out by local resident Hassan Abu Zeid.

Chanting Allahu Akbar (God is great), some 3,000 people, including Fatah and Islamic Jihad gunmen, converged on Abu Zeid's home to "congratulate" his family on the success of the attack, which killed five people and wounded more than 30.
They also called for more suicide attacks in Israel ..."

It has always been a part of our culture in the west to dance to celebrate love and life, though the 60's really brought that part of our culture into focus and it popularized for the youth what the more senior of our citizens in our western societies had been doing anyway and which people in our Western societies had been doing for eons before us.

For the Arabs/Palestinians it seems that it has always been a part of their culture also to dance in the streets to celebrate hate and death.

Over the last 40 years or so, I cannot begin to count the times Irecall watching TV to see the film report by some roving reporter of the Arabs or Palestinians dancing in the streets for joy over the death of Israelis, over their wildly ecstatic dreams of killing the hated Jews and even their sometimes getting wound up in dance to celebrate killing the hated Americans.

And who can forget the Palestinians dancing for joy in the streets on hearing of the deaths of 3,000 Americans on 9/11?

These Palestinian/Arab "hate-ins" of the 2nd millennium a.d., are a cultural throw back to the 7th century a.d.

That these "hate-ins" are still going strong today, speaks volumes about how these Arab/Palestinian traditions of celebrating their love of hate and revelling in the deaths of their enemies or in the death of their martyrs who killed their enemies, are deeply and permanently etched in the bedrock of their culture.

Who in their right minds would ever want to dance with the Palestinians other than other Palestinians?

This is very typical of the type of primative mentality we are dealing with amongst the Palestinians and why peace has proved to be so elusive. You will recall they also danced in the streets and handed out sweets when the hijacked planes crashed into the World Trade Centre. Self styled Jewish and other liberals have ofter failed to recognise this when they apportion blame on Israel for the conflict. We are dealing with an extremely sick and depraved Palestinian society where mothers delight in sending their children to become suicide bombers because it reserves them a place in paradise. There has never been a Palestinian Peace Movement and I guess there never will. All Israel can do to try to protect its population is to bild walls to keep them out. Co-existence was nothing ever more than a one-sided pipe dream that the Palestinians were never perpared to accept.

The vast majority of Europeans and many Americans are simply unaware of how bloodthirsty and triumphalist the Arabs are because of self-censorship by the mainstream media.
