On the opening of the Knesset, Lapid sounds off,
Carrying the last opening speech, Opposition Leader Yosef Lapid (Shinui) spoke furiously against the ruling parties and their leaders.
"With all due respect to Sharon and [Vice Premier Shimon] Peres," Lapid said "they lead parties not worthy of running the country. The Roadmap is stuck, intifada renewed, chances for peace waning, the economic growth is held back, poverty deepens, hilltop youths keep building new illegal outposts."
Referring to the government's reliance on the opposition votes to pass the law that approved the disengagement, Lapid said "it is unprecedented to have a government that depends on opposition votes for passing its decisions."
according to a report in Haaretz.
