White/Blue terror - redux

White/Blue terror - redux

During the black days in which the Jewish population of Gaza was deported by Abu Omri's troops, I posted a daily column, "Resistance News", which documented some of the abuses meted out to the Zionist patriots in the Jewish communities in Gaza. Readers who followed this avalanche of abuse may be interested in the following Arutz7 report:

Public Defender Laments Gross Violation of Rights of Disengagement

In an internal document, the Public Defender’s Office laments the gross violation of civil rights of disengagement opponents in reference to their treatment by police, the prosecution and judicial system.

The document, which was revealed by Israel Radio, cites blatant discrimination in the application of the law, using “political affiliation” as the yardstick to decide how and when to enforce the law.

The document accuses the courts of “assisting and cooperating” with law enforcement agencies, using a “light trigger policy” and enacting “new laws” custom fitted to suit the needs of the government’s political agenda.

No internal documents need be read to realize that Israel does not have an independent judiciary. Had always thought this was universally recognized.

The unresolved and hushed-up issue has always been whether Israel would be a Jewish nation or a "democratic" nation. The doctrines of each are antagonistic. Since this issue was never openly addressed in Israel, external forces entered Israel's domestic political scene.

YNET NEWS carries an article by Chaim Misgav Court serving the government which sheds interesting light on the SC and on the administration of Justice.

Recriminations over Gaza do not serve the cause of Jewish unity. The focus now should be in securing Judia and Samaria that form part of Eretz Israel for the sake of Israel's future.
