In your ear, Yasseer...a great new conspiracy theory
Along with the plot to spread drugs to Palestinian youth, in order to corrupt them, as David Gerstman posted, we have an additional plot, one worthy of an Oliver Stone movie, like his "JFK" or that Jews control the world a la "the Protocols of the Elders of Zion" and other fine literature, or Israelis blew up the WTC, comes this latest wonderment: Yasser Arafat was killed by poison put in his ear. (For those of us who think he died of AIDS, we suspect he was "poisoned" through another organ, but that's another story...) Senior PA official: Arafat died after poison was injected into his ear
Palestinian Authority chairman Yasser Arafat died after a poison was injected into his ear, according to statements made by senior PA official Ahmad Abdul Rahman that appeared Wednesday in the London-based Al-Quds Al-Arabi newspaper...
According to Abdul Rahman, who is also a member of the Fatah Revolutionary Council, Arafat was poisoned at the end of September 2003 and lost 13 kilograms during the course of 16 days. Doctors were unable to identify Arafat's ailment during this period.
Abdul Rahman added that Arafat loved the closeness of the people around him. He said there is no doubt that one of them injected a poison into his ear that caused his death over the long term.
According to Al-Quds newspaper, Fatah political advisor Othman Abu Rabiya maintains that regional bodies were involved in the "assassination of Arafat."
Note: What's a "regional body"? Does anyone know any other stories of poisoned ears (and I mean, besides the verbal poison that advisers can whisper into their leaders' ears)? This is a new one for me, but then, I am not well versed in the how-to's of such things. Then again, the Israelis, as we all know, are dastardly enough and heinously clever enough to come up with ear poisoning, now, aren't they? Was it mixed with something to help soften ear wax? Inquiring minds want to know!
The Palestinians, especially the PA, seem desperate with this story. Desperate to shore up their image, to further blame Israel, to recapture the "glory" years when Arafat was beaming from the U.N. and later capturing the accolades from the Europeans and the other useful idiots in the world, instead of the colorless and uninspiring/ineffectual Abbas, and the continued chaos in the PA and Palestinian leadership.

Nothwithstanding the absurdity of the theory,please know that in the classic Shakespearean play Hamlet,the original King of Denmark,Hamlet`s father,was indeed the victim of Claudius ,his brother,with poison being somehow injected into his ear(obviously,the events constituting both a literal event,and reflecting a metaphor for a most horrible ,heinous fratricide)as the description of his deterioration reflected a painful death...somehow,I can`t even visualize Yaseer and Hamlet in any type of parallel world...one the height of brilliance,the other a bathotic character in a cartoon....pk
