Ahmadinejad: Holocaust Denier; Says Jews Should Move to Europe

By Andrew L. Jaffee, netwmd.com

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is again spouting Jew-hatred, and displaying his complete ignorance of history (but what's rationality when expousing genocide?). In October, he urged that Israel be "wiped off the map." Today, he:

...expressed doubt that the Holocaust occurred and suggested Israel be moved to Europe. ...

In his own words:

"Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces and they insist on it to the extent that if anyone proves something contrary to that they condemn that person and throw them in jail," IRNA quoted Ahmadinejad as saying.

"Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, we ask the Europeans: Is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem?"

"If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe - like in Germany, Austria or other countries -- to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe. You offer part of Europe and we will support it," he added.

Here's the kicker:

"The question is where do those who rule in Palestine as occupiers come from? Where were they born? Where did their fathers live? They have no roots in Palestine but they have taken the fate of Palestine in their hands?"

Since Ahmadinejad brought up Hitler, it is notable that Germany's new chancellor, Angela Merkel, said today:

"With our historical responsibility in mind, I can only say that we reject them (Ahmadinejad's comments) in the harshest possible terms."

History? The sad fact of the matter is that Ahmadinejad probably is actually as ignorant as he sounds, despite the fact that his rhetoric is based in the Iranian mullahcracy's anti-Semitism. Need I point out how easily accessible information is about Jewish roots in Israel? Even the open-source Wikipedia, which has been prone to politically correct sanitization states:

In compiling the history of ancient Israel and Judah, there are many available sources, including the Jewish Tanakh (the Old Testament) and other Jewish texts such as the Talmud, the Ethiopian book of history known as the Kebra Nagast, the writings of historians such as Nicolaus of Damascus, Artapanas, Philo of Alexandria and Josephus, other writings, and archaeological evidence including Egyptian, Moabite, Assyrian and Babylonian inscriptions.

It is especially painful for those of us who have spent time in Israel to hear this steady stream of delegitimization of Jewish history. How many of the Holy Land's ancient archaeological sites scream with Jewish history, e.g., Hebrew inscriptions on weathered stone. Tel Megido? The Wailing Wall? The Cave of Machpelah (Tomb of the Patriarchs)?

Oh, the pain of all this. And Iran still holds a seat at the United Nations.

Keep in mind that when Hitler was planning on annihilating the Jews, he offered to let them go to another country but few countries took him up on it. Iran is trying to make the same point here namely that nobody wants the Jews.

Ahmadinejad's hatred of Jews is very much in the crude primative medieval form that was resurrected by the Nazi's but one in which we thought had died a death in April 1945 with the suicide of Hitler. He is the new Haman of our times under a different guise. From a viewing of Iranian television on website MEMRI TV it is interesting to note the number of productions dedicated to holocaust denial and demonizing the Jews. There's a sense of deja vu in his outbursts but it seems to herald from a different era. He is truly a man possessed.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's most recent call for Israel to move to Europe is only shocking to a world that has refused to hear what the Islamic radicals, Arabs, Iran, Palestinians and other supporting Muslims in the region have been saying all along.

They want the land of Israel to be restored into the possession of Islam.

But for the geographical speck of Israel, Islamic nations stretch in an unbroken chain from the east coast of North Africa through to Pakistan. To these Muslims in that vast region, Israel's presence is an abhorrent defilement of the holy Islamic territory.

The Arab and Palestinian dream to re-take Israel is what has been the Palestinian end game bound up in their charter that still calls for the destruction of Israel. The Palestinians words, actions and terrorism are all in furtherance of that goal.

Iran’s call about 2 months ago for Israel to be wiped off the map is not the first time Iran has so declared. It is however the first time an Iran on the brink of possessing nuclear weapons has so brazenly called for the destruction of Israel.

It’s the nuclear weapons potential combined with Jew hatred that the world suddenly sees as presenting a clear and present danger that could spread well beyond Israel and so belatedly they are worried enough to condemn Jew hatred.

The holy act of Jihad conquered Jerusalem and the surrounding land centuries ago and that conquest imbued Jerusalem and the land of Israel with holiness for Islam. In accord with their ways, the Islamic conquerors marked their new Islamic territory with the Dome of the Rock and Al Aqsa mosque.

Is it any wonder that the Arabs, Palestinians, Iran, Islamic radicals and the other supporting cast of Muslims in the region not only want to reclaim all of Israel as Muslim land, but they believe as an article of their faith in Islam that they are entitled to have that land for themselves.

There is no doubt that if Israel would re-locate to lands that Islamists makes no claim to, at least not yet, such as Europe, Muslims would rejoice that the land of Israel that was rendered unclean by the Jews, has been cleansed by being rightly restored to Islam and the unbroken chain of Islamic nations will again be pure and free of the reviled Jews.

President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's plan to relocate Israel to Europe, would certainly if carried out, solve his and his radical Islamist, Arab and Palestinian co-horts problem and eliminate their murderous tensions and intentions arising from the huge gap between their fanatical belief that they are entitled to and must have Israel for themselves and the excrutiatingly frustrating fact that they do not have Israel, because the Jews they hate and despise, refuse to give it to them. No doubt Israel's refusal is just further proof in the minds of these evil people that the Jews are evil and their hatred of Jews is justified.

Ahmadinejad's call to relocate Israel to Europe is made without any regard or even awareness at all as to how Europeans and Jews/Israelis would feel about it.

Then again that should not be strange, for when did these evil Jew/Israel hating radical Islamic people, who call for the death and destruction of Jews and Israel and send out their terrorists to do just that, have any regard for anyone but their own selfish, self absorbed, demented delusional beliefs and wishes.

In spite of all the differences including anti-Semitism that divides Europe and Israel, they do find mutuality of interest in the fact that the Europeans do not want more Jews or an Israel in their midst and Israel has no interest in giving up its land and re-locating to Europe.

Since neither Europe nor Israel are about to take Ahmadinejad's advice, the deadly Islamic threat to Israel and the Western world from the Arabs, Palestinians, Iranians and all the Islamic radicals and terrorists, remains a very clear and present danger.

The West had best open its eyes and look around because the deadly evil of radical Islam from all its sources has Israel and the West directly in its sights and they have already started pulling the trigger.

First of all make it clear, that AhmedNijadi talked about Zionist not about us Jews.

So zionist must be moved to some part of Europe, if acceptable by them (though i am pretty much sure that they will not accept them) :).

Move Israel to Europe? Let's Relocate Other Countries Too!

Iran's president said Thursday that if Germany and Austria feel responsible for massacring Jews during World War II, they should move the state of Israel to Germany or Austria.

I had no idea that entire countries full of people could just be picked up and “moved” from place to place. But now that the idea is on the table, here are some ideas for other countries to relocate!

my friend leonard,
MEMRI TV is not an iranian television and is based in washington d.c. with a branch office in jerusalem among other places (no branch office in iran by the way).

mr. narvey and others,
instead of absurd accusations and labeling of islam, muslims and iran inparticular this forum deserves discussion of a more constructive dialogue.

few notes and facts about iran, islam, muslims.

1-it has been the policy of iranian government ever since the previous regime of shah of iran a so called pro-western, pro-israel gov. and continued by the present gov. to support the one state solution for israel/palestine where jews, muslims and christians can live together.

2- this might come as a shock to you but iran is among the only islamic countries (in all honestly i don't know of any other)that has and always had a jewish member of the parliment. the current MP is Moris Motamed. he not only represents jewish community but also other iranians. mr. motamed is a member of the energy commision in the majlis (parliment)and among the issues that he is currently tackleing is the nuclear energy technology for iran!!

3-another surprise, the previous jewish member of parliment visited the united states few years ago as the HEAD of the iranian delegation!!

4-iran has the oldest jewish community in the world outside of israel going back couple of thousand years.

5-the present regime in iran to my undrestanding has always tried to distingush between the ideology of Zionism and jewish religion.

6-there is no reason in this world why jews and palestinian christians/muslims can live together side by side in peace and prosperity. if only their political leaders allow them.

7-attaching fanaticism, terrorism, anti-semetism etc. to islam and muslims is very shortsighted. because the reality is that not all muslims think alike. i can assure you that the vast majority of the islamic world only strives for peace, tranqulity and co-existence with fellow human beings.

thank you for reading these comments. we can continue this dialogue.

Shawn - MEMRI TV is a website that reproduces video clips of Iranian and Arab Television with translations so that we in the West can understand what is really going on in that part of the World. What I was saying above is that it is quite apparent to any viewer the sheer number and output of dramas, documentaries and even cartoons that are dedicated to holocaust denial and demonising and vilifying the Jews. Iranian TV is tightly controlled by the Islamic Republic and you can see that they are actually reproducing Nazi style propaganda that has not seen the light of day since 1945. A viewing of this crude type of antisemitic propaganda makes it easier for the reader to understand the sort of mindset behind the current outbursts of the new Iranian President when he spouts holocaust denial and his desire to wipe Israel off the Map, and for the World to recognise the real dangers associated with Iran acquiring Nuclear Missiles.

Incidentally 90% of Iranian Jews were forced out of Iran with over 50,000 settling in California, and dozens of remnants are languishing in Iranian prisons on trumped up charges of being spies. I am sure you are familiar with the torture and murder of a Canadian female journalist and the persecution there of the Bahai minority. There is no such thing as Human Rights in Iran. I refer you to the reports by Amnesty International on the country in order that you may be better informed.
