Chicago City Council blasts Presbyterian Cleric

(December 14, 2005) Alderman Edward M. Burke (14th) joined fellow colleagues today in introducing a City Council resolution that won approval condemning the Reverend Robert Reynolds, the head of the Chicago Presbytery of the Presbyterian Church USA, for his recent controversial meeting with a Hezbollah commander in the Middle East.

Hezobollah is a terrorist organization which has attacked American embassies, hijacked an American airliner, kidnapped American hostages and is responsible for "innumerable assaults on innocent people," the resolution noted.

The meeting took place last month with Hezobollah terror chief Hassan Nasrallah, and has ignited widespread outrage among the Chicago Jewish community and religious leaders of all faiths. While Reverend Reynolds said the purpose of the meeting was to hear from the terrorists about their "own reality in their own words," Alderman Burke reacted in disbelief.

"I cannot fathom why a top Chicago religious leader would lend legitimacy to a terror organization which has committed so many atrocities against innocent people," Alderman Burke said.

Alderman Burke was joined in calling upon the City Council to condemn Reverend Reynolds’ actions by Aldermen Burton F. Natarus (42nd), Bernard Stone (50th) and Mary Ann Smith (48th).

"Hezbollah’s guerilla attacks have killed hundreds of Israelis and fostered the use of suicide bombers with the effect of randomly killing innocent bystanders in populated areas," Alderman Natarus said.

"All of Chicago should be aghast that Reverend Reynolds would display such a total lack of judgment," Alderman Stone added. "Perhaps he should have taken the time instead to talk to the families of those many innocent people who have been killed by Hezbollah in terror attacks so that he could hear firsthand about the pain and loss that Hezbollah’s actions have brought to their families."

Alderman Smith urged fellow council members to adopt the measure which also calls for the City of Chicago to examine "any programs of the City which provide service or financial support to the Chicago Presbytery and to reevaluate the propriety of continuing such services or financial support."

The Presbyterrorist Church USA is a problem that must be dealt with. The organization's reputation can and should be destroyed to the extent that its own members will desert and move to Presbyterian organizations that do not consort with Christ-killing Islamofascists (http://www.omdurman.org/crucify.html shows why Islamofascists are, per the New Testament, defined literally as Christ Killers.)

"Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my bretheren, ye have done it unto me." (Matthew 25:40) No recourse to Christian theology is necessary to understand the truth of this statement. If someone kills someone's student, he is killing part of the teacher's work and therefore part of the teacher's life. If someone burns someone's book, he is destroying part of that person's work. When Saudi Arabia burns or shreds Bibles, it is destroying Jesus' work and therefore part of Jesus' life.

Every time an Islamofascist cuts off a Christian's head, hangs a Christian, or crucifies a Christian as is done in Sudan, the Islamofascist is also killing part of Jesus' work and therefore part of Jesus life. As shown by the above statement from the New Testament, this is the same as killing Jesus himself so Islamofascists are truly the Twenty-First Century's Christ Killers.

The Presbyterian Church of the USA is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt because it is a religious institution whose mission supposedly includes the betterment of American society through charitable and religious works. Its recent actions, however, raise the burning question of just how far a religious organization can go against public policy, not to mention common decency, and remain tax-exempt. We wonder if meeting with a terrorist organization that murdered 240 United States Marines is enough (see also), or if PCUSA would actually have to burn someone alive as a witch before the IRS reassessed its status.

Ronald Stone, an elder of the Presbyterian Church USA, met with leaders of Hizbollah (or Hezbollah). According to the U.S. State Department, Hizballah (Party of God) is a foreign terrorist organization (FTO). The legal criteria for a FTO includes, "The organization's terrorist activity or terrorism must threaten the security of U.S. nationals or the national security (national defense, foreign relations, or the economic interests) of the United States." In other words, an elder of PCUSA met with an organization that is officially deemed a threat to the security of the United States.

http://christianactionforisrael.org/antiholo/loud.html adds, "Stone also said that he finds Islamic leaders much better company than Jewish leaders. Obviously, this man missed the flight to New York and toward the Twin Towers. He also had no children at school in Belsan, Russia, when his Islamic friends shouted, "Allah Akbar!" and then, as always, as practically everywhere… the slaughter begins."

And Mr. Stone is not the only PCUSA representative to knowingly and willfully meet with an organization on the U.S. State Department's list of foreign terrorist organizations (FTOs). http://www.wlns.com/global/story.asp?s=2446131&ClientType=Printable
"[Reverend Nile] Harper's 24-member delegation met yesterday with the south Lebanon commander of Hezbollah. Washington calls Hezbollah a terrorist group, but Lebanon it sees as a legitimate resistance movement against Israeli occupation of Arab lands." The Presbyterians are being shunned even by the Democrat political machine in Chicago.

Besides the Hezbollah terrorists, the only friends left standing in support of the Presbyterians are the Communist and Socialist Parties.
