"Poligion" is not, of course, unique to Islam because medieval Christianity and indeed ancient Judaism invoked the phrase "Deus Vult" (God Wills it) or the equivalent to justify wars of aggression and even genocide. The Old Testament contains an example of God allegedly telling the ancient Hebrews to "smite" an entire non-Hebrew tribe.

Christianity, despite its pacifist origins, picked up on this concept pretty quickly when the phrase "Deus Vult!" was used to initiate Crusades. After Christianity broke up into several different variants, "God" was readily invoked whenever one group of Christians wanted to kill the "wrong" kind of Christians, usually meaning Christians who occupied land that the first group wanted. Its role as a poligion became quite evident in the 16th century, when Henry VIII created his own church because the Pope would not allow him to divorce his apparently-infertile wives. Later, the Catholic Church encouraged Queen Elizabeth's Catholic subjects to try to overthrow her, which compelled her to make Catholicism illegal.

The Protestants and later the Calvinists could be just as bad, and they were equally fanatic in massacring the "wrong" kinds of Christians during the Thirty Years War. Poligion was also a driving force in the English Civil War, with the Puritan Roundheads fighting the Anglican Royalists.

The difference between centuries-old Jewish and Christian poligion and Islamofascist poligion is, of course, is that no recognized modern sect of Judaism, Christianity, or even Islam sanctions or condones aggressive war to acquire territory or killing people for being the wrong religion. Islamofascism does. Islamofascism must therefore be regarded not as a valid religion but as a poligion.

Religions are tax-exempt in the United States but poligions are not. For practical purposes, any tax-exempt mosque in the United States that preaches jihad, overthrowing the infidels, and so on and so forth should be reported to the IRS and its tax exemption revoked. To summarize:

Islam is a religion.
Islamofascism is a poligion. It is also a cancer and a plague that must be destroyed.
