Yes, yes -- I know that there are supposedly certain protections for ambulances and hospitals that go with ICRC recognition. But the Arab states and terrorists would not abide by them anyway.

During the Yom Kippur War, when Syria murdered Israeli prisoners of war, a representative of the ICRC actually raised the topic with a Syrian ministry, pointing out that murder of prisoners-of-war is against the Geneva Conventions.
The Syrian replied "Jews are not covered by the Geneva Conventions" and the Red Cross reponded "Oh".

On another occasion an Israeli minister asked for a representative of the Red Cross to discuss with him the mistreatment of Israeli nationals, and the representative said that was not the topic he came to pursue. His topic: He had learned that Arab terrorists in Israeli prisons were only getting one piece of fresh fruit a day, and the Red Cross demands that they get two.

During the Holocaust, a Red Cross spokesman was asked why the International Red Cross was not doing anything at all for the prisoners in the concentration camps and she said, "Because the president of the German Red Cross is a Nazi and will not allow it."

How low does Israel have to sink to curry favor with this lot?

No, I do not think that "all red crescent people are terrorists". I do think SOME of them are terrorists, which presumptively should make that organization (the Palestinian RC) less legitimate than a medical emergency organization with no terrorists (say, the Israeli MDA). But instead, to the extent that MDA must address the concerns of Palestinian Red Crescent and not vice versa, the latter is being treated as more legitimate than the former. It is not unreasonable to ask how such a situation came about, and what is driving it.
