The Real "Cycle of Violence"

The Real "Cycle of Violence"

Today, 5 more Jews / Israelis were murdered in yet another Arab terror attack, this one a suicide bombing outside a shopping mall in Netanya, with the explicit goal of seeking to demoralize and destroy the Jewish State of Israel.

Those that were murdered today are victims of the endless "cycle of violence" of which Israel finds itself at the center of.

No, I am not referring to the "cycle of violence" that world uses to justify the murder of Jews, whereby Israel is guilty for taking actions to defend itself, and in doing so, invites more attacks against itself.

The "cycle of violence" to which I refer is the result of the Government of Israel failing to eliminate the constant threat hanging over the Jewish State of Israel and her citizens - whether the threat is suicide bombers outside of shopping malls or Qassam rocket attacks - and the Government of Israel’s lack of response to these continued violence, which only serves to encourage more violence against the Jewish State whose end result is more dead Jews.

Two Qassam rockets shattered the twilight calm yesterday in the western Negev's Moshav Shuva, near Netivot. A more powerful Qassam than the rockets hitherto fired from Gaza into Israel... Five other Qassams - of the familiar old-fashioned sort - struck the western Negev, Sderot and Nahal Oz over the weekend...

For its part, Israel's response is confused. On the one hand tough messages are relayed via governments abroad to the PA, and the defense minister issues stern warnings that Israel will retaliate for each attack. Concomitantly, though, Israel continues to make friendly gestures to a PA leadership that is failing to meet its fundamental obligations. Thus it is announced that 2,000 more Gazan workers will be allowed employment in Israel, bringing the total to 7,000.

Thus far, the IDF's response to rocket fire has proved ineffective. Hitting back after the rockets and mortars have been fired and their crews have fled from the launch sites is pointless. (Courtesy of the Jerusalem Post).

And would anyone be surprised to find out that the suicide bomber was one of the 7,000 Arabs that the Government of Israel continues to allow into Israel from Gaza (even though it vowed to end this practice once all the Jews had been expelled from Gaza).

Or, perhaps the suicide bomber was a Hamas (or Islamic Jihad) terrorist who was able to cross into Gaza from Egypt, now that the Rafah border crossing is under total PLO sovereignty (courtesy of the Jerusalem Post):

In recent days Israel has sharply criticized the Palestinian Authority for letting Hamas terrorists cross into Gaza... But, under the terms of the American-brokered agreement between Israel and the PA concerning Rafah, entrance is allowed to anyone with a Palestinian ID.

There is in fact a "cycle of violence', and the Government of Israel is guilty of perpetuating it.

The time has long since passed for Israel to end this maddening "cycle of violence" that only leaves the Jewish People and State with more and more dead Jews to bury and mourn, and countless broken lives and hearts left in its wake.

It has to stop, and if the Government of Israel is not prepared to do so, then it must step aside and let others who are all too willing and able take their stead and put an end to this war of destruction against the Jewish State and bring a true and lasting peace to Israel, the Jewish People, and the entire region.

Now awaiting the formulaic huffing from the US administration/State Department that this sort of thing is not a bit nice, and TO THEM WORST OF ALL -- does not advance the aspirations of the Palestinian people.

But the aspirations of the Palestinian people is to kill Jews. So every Jew kills advances their cause.

Do not expect anyone in Foggy Bottom ever to grasp this.

The Bush administration, the quartet and indeed all other nations that are pushing Israel down the Road Map for peace are well aware of the Palestinian/Arab cultural ethos of Jew hatred.

The simple fact is that they do not know what to do about it.

One of the fundamental premises of the Road Map to peace is that once the Palestinians have an independent state, the Palestinians and surrounding Arab nations would then be able to abandon their Jew hatred and peace would come to that region of the Middle East.

It is significant that this premise is a Western invention based on Western logic and cultural perceptions as to what people want or need. In their paternalistic arrogance, the West believes this premise reflects the thinking of Palestinians/Arabs or the thinking that Palestinian/Arabs will come to accept.

What is also significant is that Israel, especially since 1964, with Arafat's PLO gaining status and credibility with the world, has been pressured, prodded and pushed to compromise its interests to satisfy the West's vision for Palestinians.

All the evidence however, and that includes 14 hundred years of the history of Islam that the Palestinian/Arab premise is to destroy Israel and take the land for Islam.

With each new terrorist attack on Israel, Israel is urged to take tough and decisive measures to fight back against the reality of the Palestinans's/Arab's premise being Israel's destruction, break free from the shackles of the Road Map and prior concessionary agreements and to chart its course with its needs and interests being paramount. So far this has not happened.

One can always hope that this most recent attack will be the one to unite Israel to stand together and fight back.

Again, I'm furious with the forces that back these murderous muslims. These include George W. Bush, Condi Rice, Ariel Sharon, All of the EU, the leftists Jews in Israel and the US, left wing Christians, the oil barons, Russia and all others who wish to see Israel destroyed. The true Jews are worth much more than these people and countries. I wish that the IDF and the corageous Jews of Israel would depose that Gonif, Sharon, declare all agrements, involving Israelis and Palestinians, null and void. Plane loads of Jews from the US would go to Israel to assist the IDF, when they make up their minds to crush these terrorists, take back the Gaza, the West Bank and deport or kill these murderers. No one, including the US and the EU, would be unable to stop this movement except for threats and harsh words. Israelis deserve to live without fear, to continue providing the free world with their inovations that better their lives. To the Israelis, do not elect Sharon, Peretz or any other left wing group to control the Knesset. Likud seems the best bet to get their s--- together and provide a hawk who has the guts to stand up to the forces who are against Israel. Where is the spirit of the Israelis from 1948? Rise up and persevere.

Bill,

I agree with the thrust of your argument, but I have a somewhat different interpretation... Rather than the "quartet" not knowing what to about "the Palestinian / Arab cultural ethos of Jew hatred," I'd suggest something else: They simply don't care about it, in the first place.

Bluezephyr, your belief that the West just does not care about Arab/Palestinian Jew hatred, has some legs when it comes to the anti-Semitic EU.

Whether its the Europeans not caring or I believe the Americans more likely ignoring the Arab/Palestinian Jew hatred, it still seems that a fundamental assumption bound up in the various agreements Israel and the Palestinians entered into, including the Road Map, is that on Palestinians getting an independent state, they will concurrently make peace with Israel, abandon their Jew hatred and start acting responsibly as an equal nation amongst equal nations.

That assumption has some appeal for the anti-semitic Europeans as well, for peace between Israel and Palestinians would serve European interests to the extent of removing one more destabilizing factor in the oil based world economy, which Europeans have managed thus far to gain such great economic advantage.

That assumption therefor is what I believe is one of, if not the most important major inarticulate premise that the Road Map rests on.

As you gathered from my comments, that premise in my humble opinion is pie in the sky.
