9-Year-Old From Hevron Held by Police

9-Year-Old From Hevron Held by Police

From Israel National News:

The Hevron police are holding a nine-year-old boy in custody after he was arrested in the Hevron market area. Holding a boy of that age in prison is against the law; however, police claim the youngster is 13 years old.

Human rights organizations intend to file a claim against Eli Zamir, Hevron precinct commander, over the illegal denial of the child's freedom.

And what would you say if the Hebron police were holding a nine year old Palestinian boy caught carrying parts of weapons or explosives or throwing rocks?

BTW...it also mentions nothing of this arrest in the article you linked to.

And what about the first part of the question...note the Arutz 7 story does not say what he was doing....nor that he was actually being arrested....I am sure he will be home by bedtime.

The three children of Hebron resident Ettie Maidad who were arrested with their mother and were all younger than nine, didn't return before bedtime. In fact, they didn't return for weeks. There have been numerous instances where mothers and their children have been arrested in the middle of the night, strictly examples of political persacution on a level not seen since communist Russia.
We need to stop living in denial of the fact that such outrages can exist in the Jewish State and instead work together to help put one evil, verminous, dictator behind bars;i.e. Ariel Sharon. It's tragicly ironic that the one who trully belongs in jail has the power to persacute the best citizens of Israel including woman and children.
