For such consistency of hatred to be helpful not only those who read (all paying attention) but those with the power to respond quickly, directly, and publicly must want to resist the enemy. The tragedy of our times, of the 58th century, is that those with the most power to respond have been bought off by or are ideologically complements to the sources of the anti-Jewish hatred. And so the slide toward apocalypse continues...

Because this situation is a constant of the reborn state (and pre-state Israel) we have discussed it structure and particulars many times. Its strcuture was declared at the Evian and Bermuda conferences convened by FDR in 1938 and 1943. At both of them it was decided that there was no place in t! he world for the Jews of Europe (see David S. Wyman, "The Abandonment of the Jews," 1998 revised edition). This demonstrated that on the issue at the nexus of the post-modern world, American foreign policy would be aligned with that of Great Britain's shadow government which was frighteningly complementary to the competing but similar agenda of the Rome-Berlin and Paris - Rome axes.

Alas for the Jewish people if they do not have leaders of Jewish honor, identity, and clear-sightedness in such a situation. Alas that since the late 1920s, the main efforts of Labor 'Zionism' has been directed against such Jews, against any Jews who would resist its authoritarian application of "party discipline," so useful to the British and in recent decades, "the world community." The extremes to which this "hatred of one's own grace" could go among other instances in the attack on and sinking of the Altalena (June 1948) and the related sequelae that left Je! wish sovereignty in Jerusalem unsettled and fissionable to this day; in the use of the murder of Yitzhak Rabin to demonize the most patriotic and self-sacrificing Jews of Israel; in the unremitting media-political and legal attacks on Menachem Begin and Ariel Sharon until they carried out major aspects of the Left's policy of alienation of the heartland and expulsion of Jews.

The horror; the horror.....

Three current incidents indicate the continuing presence of these tendencies and the extreme degree to which they have proceeded because Israel lacks leaders who honor and respect Judaism, the Jewish people, Jewish history and the centrality of Jewish land in all these matters of life and death; lacks leaders who will respond to the clear and present dangers and hatred of implacable foes of superficially different types but allied in fact.

1) The bad faith and malice of the fo! rces that direct America's diplomatic establishment is writ large in the entire "land for peace" project of almost four decades running (this is effectively an extension of the policy of the British Mandate). During the past two years, despite the fact that Hamas is at war with western civilization and with America especially, the US State Department has led diplomatic - media initiatives to sanitize and mis-represent the Hamas program of destroying Israel and replacing it with an Islamic state. In recent months, as State pressed Sharon with increasing vehemence to expel the Jews of Gush Katif and to destroy their homes, it simultaneously pressed for removal of Hamas from its own official list of terrorist groups, groups with which America ostensibly is at war and which very definitely at war with us, murdering and plotting to murder Americans every day.

As State presses to sanitize Hamas and spread its big lie about Islam as a religion of peace rather ! than Jihad, Israel's Minister of Defense, Shaul Mofaz, of the brand new Kadima party whose ideological shapelessness signals its subservience to foreign dictates, has compliantly announced that he could work with Hamas.

2) Hardly was this servility vented than hundreds of IDF and Border police descended upon Tapuach in the central Shomron to shut down the canine training facilities of the Jewish Legion (Gedud Ha'Ivri) whose purpose was to train patrol, guard and track-attack dogs to protect Jewish civilians in the heartland of Israel. Civilians need to fund and do this life-saving work because successive Israeli governments will not do it. Indeed (see above) they have in many ways encouraged those who hate Jews to try to murder them, thus getting Jews out of what the world and the left calls, "the occupied territories."

Look at this in simple terms: the dogs are trained to protect the lives of J! ewish civilians; American diplomats want to help the Brits, briefly placate the Arabs, and keep the crisis simmering (the better for them to manage it) by getting the Jews out. The most politically 'colorable' (acceptable) way to get them out is by, 1) failing to protect them, and 2) preventing them from defending themselves. Thus the shutting down of Gedud HaIvri.

3) Iran has been threatening to blot Israel off the earth for twenty-five years. Anyone paying attention has read and watched during the past decade as they have progressed (with plenty of help from Russia and from the US (via China, thanks Mr. Clinton) into their third generation of nuclear capable missiles. It is obvious that the smaller Israel is, the more vulnerable it is to an assault by N,B, or C weapons. Yet during this same time Mr. Peres, who now, lo and behold, finds himself a kingpin in Labor Party II (Kadima) has maneuvered and called on Israel to give up or at least open up its nuclear weapons to enemy intelligence if not to the scrap heap. No Israeli politicians in positions of power have acted to destroy this looming national disaster as Menachem Begin did with a similar but lesser threat.

Indeed, American and other diplomats have played a pre-emptive game of "secret," spreading "intelligence" gossip that Israel was in fact planning to pre-empt Iranian genocide. These whispers serve only to bring pressure before-the-fact upon Israel and to nullify any kind of tactical surprise Israel might achieve.

If the American political establishment truly was a friend and ally of Israel, instead of ordering it to destroy Jewish communities and Jewish self-defense for civilian organizations (even guard dogs, for pete's sake!) it would order it to take out Iran's entire nuclear enterprises and the ayatollah's regime. The American Defen! se - Diplomatic echelons would invite and assist the IAF overflight of Mesopotamia rather than suggesting it is an insuperable obstacle to Israel's pre-emption of the next holocaust. It appears American soldiers are getting murdered in Mesopotamia to destroy America's will and, maybe, to clean house in Iran AFTER the ayatollah's obliterate Israel, reducing the rubble-remnant to utter vassalage to America and vulnerability to any gangs of savages that pass through, as it was for Jews there twelve or fifteen hundred years ago.

It has been made painfully clear, rhetorically and practically in many ways that Israel is "not with us" to quote the president in whatever this "war on terror" thing is. Even more painfully, events show that, in fact and effect, Israel is "against us," at least in so far as "us" means the State Department and most of the Executive Branch of government. All the more reason that the bitter consistency of the enemies of the Jewi! sh people, from the silk suits to the kaffiyehs, find opposing them Jewish leaders who respond to affirm the sovereignty and ensure the safety from attack of the Jewish people.

Israel will have regime change and victory or the remnant of the Jews will endure the sight of the nations erecting yet another holocaust museum/memorial and shedding crocodile tears having striven again to solve what they see as their "problem."
