It's the Demography, Stupid

It's the Demography, Stupid

The real reason the West is in danger of extinction.

BY MARK STEYN, Opinion Journal

Most people reading this have strong stomachs, so let me lay it out as baldly as I can: Much of what we loosely call the Western world will not survive this century, and much of it will effectively disappear within our lifetimes, including many if not most Western European countries. [..]

The challenge for those who reckon Western civilization is on balance better than the alternatives is to figure out a way to save at least some parts of the West. [..]

(This is a major essay, not to be missed.)

with some medium IQ and logic thinking you don't need to read this essay to understand how the things will develop in the next 50 years.
Just answer one simple stupid question and everyone will know why: can anybody stop islamic flood into eurabia ?
Answer: nobody in westeurabia can't stop this process. Period. It's un-stopable.
Eastern europe is much smarter and is learning the lessons to prevent everything what happened in the west to spill into the east.
So, EU will dissapear sooner than later.
In order to protect themself, Poland, Chechoslovakia and others will build hard-core borders.
I don't see canada willing to do anything to protect their identity. Muslims are populating this country at a big rate. USA will have the same destiny by the end of this century.
There is no need for a long essay to clearly see the future.

A great essay. I'll put my trust in HaShem. Who can contend with Him? Not Islam, the murderous second coming of the followers of Molech and Ashteroth.

Shlomo,

Don't bet on it.

Birth rate (per 1,000 population) = 23.32 for Egypt, 10.78 for Poland. BTW, French birth rate = 12.15.

I don't necessarily agree with Steyn's conclusions. Even in Europe, I'll bet there's at least, say, 10% of the non-Muslim population who would fight rather submit to Muslim rule. They may be a "silent" minority at the moment, but they wouldn't give up without a fight, and they could most likely defeat the Islamists in battle in any situation. I know that may sound like a big assumption, but demographics certainly isn't everything; in the past, the European countries ruled colonies with far larger populations (i.e. the British controlling India) and I think the same imbalance of power would occur.

Of course, civil war in the EU is also a horrible outcome, but I can't see the Islamists winning under virtually any circumstance.

One thing I don't get though, is why Europe doesn't implement what I'd certainly think of as an easy solution to its demographic problem - getting more immigrants who aren't Muslim. Anyone have any ideas why?
(I actually wrote about this on my site a few months ago too, if anyone is interested in seeing it: http://thesolidsurfer.typepad.com/the_solid_surfer/2005/08/european_strang.html

Shalom Shlomo,

Delete the USA from the list. America's largest minority population is new, Mexican immigrants. They favor large families and do consume alcoholic beverages. A tangent to this new Mexican-American population is that they replace America's blacks as the country's largest minority. American blacks constituent a large bloc of Muslims in America. Thus, the projection shows when the petrodollar wealth evaporates, America's Muslim threat will be like the Barbary pirates of the early 19th century - defeated.

The real question to ask is why divided Cyprus is not an Islamic republic...or why Gibraltar is not an Islamic city-state. These places do not use the policies of David Ben Gurion and Golda Meir.
