"Palestinians Choose Savages"

"Palestinians Choose Savages"

That's the title of an excellent commentary today in the Edmonton Sun. Simple, direct and to the point, and the best thing I've read in the general media about the creation of Hamastan.

I said it before and I'll say it again. The Hamas victory is a fantastic public relations triumph for Israel. Wave those green flags, boys!

From the article in question: ""We consider Israel to be an enemy, not an ally," Hamas leader Mahmoud Al-Zahar said during a televised debate with a Palestinian Authority official that aired last Sunday."

Then "Palestine" is at war with Israel and Israel can roll the tanks in right now.

""We will not negotiate with Israel," he declared flatly."

See above recommendation.

"One of the Hamas candidates in Wednesday's election was a woman who boasted that three of her sons died while engaging in terrorist activities against Israel. "I am proud and honoured to be a terrorist for the sake of Allah," she said in a TV interview last month, adding she's willing to lose all 10 of her sons to terrorism."

It is typical of these Islamofascists that they are always willing to sacrifice others but never themselves-- sort of like what the Palestine Solidarity Movement did with Rachel Corrie.

"Hamas is dedicated to the most extreme forms of Shariah law and religious intolerance, he says."

YOU HEAR THAT, CHARLOTTE KATES AND HUWAIDA ARRAF? How do you like the idea of being stoned to death on a whim, or forced to wear a face covering and be treated like half a human being??? Is that the Palestine Solidarity Movement's vision statement for all Palestinian women???

Even the Arab countries are dismayed by it. So much so that Hamas is sending messengers to alleviate the fears it arouses. For it should be clear, their victory portends a terrible omen for the other Arab countries b/c of the encouragement it gives to their own fundies.

I'm positively surprised by the negative reaction of Fatah to any kind of cooperation w Hamas. Not that I want them either.

Greta - Israel doesn't need to perform any PR for the Palestinians - they do it all themselves in the same way the Nazi's did - & now its all out in the open what most of us already knew for the World to see ! Maybe the EU & USA will think twice about pumping in the billions of dollars to the PA that ends up effectively funding Terror.

I'll be interested to see how Israel handles this from a PR perspective, particularly in counteracting the Pal line that you are starting to see advanced here and there, notably in the Times op-ed piece.

However, one should not get too overconfident. These guys have a well-oiled PR machinery and a sympathetic constituency that is only too happy to latch on to any theme that seems to work for then.

Omri, you are absolutely right. I see in Ireland the blogs have remained silent. That is the problem. I mean you need a leadership in place which can now use the opportunity, and we do not have it, anywhere.
