Roughly translated, it means that Hamas wants to destroy Israel and kill the Jews, which the west think is a good thing, otherwise they'd have prevented Hamas from taking part in the elections.
As for western leaders saying they won't talk to Hamas - they've been talking to them for years now, they're funded by the US and EU, as well as Iran - in fact they've been legitimised because our leaders have sold Israel and the Jews out for lower oil prices. So, in short, the west is thoroughly endorsing an Arab genocide of Jews - so that they can finish what Hitler started, but they haven't got the guts to do themselves!

The western press lies again
While listening to the western press reporting on the elections in the territories, I noted it was at pains to say that Hamas is dedicated to the destruction of Israel but ti also is a force for good. It reports that though there is some fear of the fundamentalist agenda of Hamas, many Palestinians are voting for them as a protest vote against the corruption of Fatah.
In essence it tries to imply that the vote doesn't endorse Hamas terror or goal of destroying Israel, This is a lie. Polls indicate that Palestinians in the majority support the use of terror and may in fact support the goal of destroying Israel. Since when do people vote for a party inspite of its platform rather then because of it?
This morning Rice announced that even though the Palestinians voted for Hamas, they still want peace. UNBELIEVABLE
