Will Alison Weir represent the Ku Klux Klan's perspective at the Palestine Solidarity Movement conference?
by Bill Levinson
Alison Weir of "If Americans Knew," may be a speaker at the Palestine Solidarity Movement's conference at Georgetown University in February. As shown here, Ms. Weir appeared at the PSM's Duke University conference. The New Jersey Solidarity Movement, home of Charlotte "Children are legitimate targets" Kates, sponsored an event by Weir as well. Readers are invited to look at Ms. Weir's "Do Americans Even Care? Russia, Israel and Media Omissions," where it is hosted, and who gives it a very enthusiastic foreword. Yes, that's right, it is the Web site of white supremacist and former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke, who leads off with the usual "Jews have divided loyalties" smear.
Commentary by David Duke: The following article shows once more how our government is securely in the hands of the Jewish supremacists and how their press supremacy works hand-in-glove to maintain that supremacy. ...men such as Richard Perle and Paul Wolfowitz ...are loyal to Israel not America, and they are the architects, with the same hand-in-glove support from the Jewish supremacists in the press, for the disastrous war in Iraq. Disastrous for America but useful for Israel!
Ms. Weir then adds, among other things,
Avnery writes that the oligarchs used “cheating, bribery and murder,” as they “exploited the disintegration of the Soviet system to loot the treasures of the state and to amass plunder amounting to hundreds of billions of dollars. In order to safeguard the perpetuation of their business, they took control of the state. Six out of the seven are Jews.”
What the Islamofascists and their fifth columnists have yet to understand is that our side is not afraid to confront them on their pet issues like Rachel Corrie or "divided loyalties." Let's talk about people whose loyalties are divided between the country to which they owe their allegiance and foreign powers, some of which may be hostile to the United States. American Jews are pro-Israel primarily because Israel is a democracy like the United States while Israel's enemies are dictatorships, theocracies, and monarchies: the kind of governments that have been the traditional enemies of the United States. Any good American can pick the good guy out of that lineup.
You will find few if any pro-Israel Americans who don't support their country's troops in Iraq. In contrast, let's take a look at the fifth columnists and Quislings who are knifing the Armed Forces of the United States in the back. Let's start with the 501(c)(3) tax-exempt Middle East Children's Alliance (MECA), which is the fiscal sponsor for the International Solidarity Movement. (For some reason, MECA forgot to report these extracurricular expenditures to the Internal Revenue Service.) Of course, MECA is against Israel, the Zionists, the Occupation, and so on and so forth. MECA's efforts do not, however, stop with anti-Israel activity; it is also using its tax-exempt resources to undermine the Armed Forces of the United States. The other anti-Israel organizations highlighted below also are acting as fifth columnists for the Iraqi terrorists who are murdering Iraqis as well as Americans, and who recently kidnapped and are threatening to kill journalist Jill Carroll.
The Wheels of Justice Bus Tour:
Members of Voices in the Wilderness, the Palestine Right to Return Coalition [Al-Awda], the Middle East Children's Alliance, and affiliates of the International Solidarity Movement
An on-going ( two years on the road!) nonviolent educational tour against war and occupation in Iraq and Palestine and for justice and universal human rights
http://www.mecaforpeace.org/CommunityActivism.html [August 18 2005, the page has been modified but copies of the following have been saved] calls for antiwar activism and condemns U.S. foreign policy
o Support Cindy Sheehan (antiwar protester camped out by the Bush ranch)
o "Bring the troops home now, stop the war in Iraq"
o "Support the Palestinian people's right of return"
o "Military recruiters out of our schools"
o "U.S. out of the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Afghanistan"
* http://www.mecaforpeace.org/IssuesIsrael.html promotes an academic boycott of Israel
* http://www.mecaforpeace.org/aboutmeca.html says MECA is on the ANSWER (anti-Iraq war organization) steering committee
* http://www.mecaforpeace.org/FactSheets.html calls the U.S. "occupation" of Iraq illegal
o It also accuses the U.S. of "purposefully" targeting civilian areas
o "The Human Cost of War in Iraq" also makes this accusation: "In March 2003, the US, backed by the UK and Spain, launched an illegal 'pre-emptive' attack on Iraq. Since then the US and UK have illegally occupied the nation…"
* http://www.mecaforpeace.org/Protest%20Photos.htmlis a photo gallery of anti-U.S. and anti-Israel protests. They are connected with the Wheels of Justice Bus Tour, which opposes U.S. policy in Iraq. An "Apartheid Wall" was put up outside MECA's own office; that is, MECA apparently used its own tax-exempt office facilities for an anti-Israel demonstration.
Yes, we really should talk about divided loyalties. MECA and the other organizations named above, including the International Solidarity Movement aka Palestinian Solidarity Movement, are not just trying to undermine Israel. They are also trying to undermine the United States and they are using tax-exempt money to do it.
This brings me to my next point. It is time for our side to stop talking about being "pro-Israel" because this simply allows the enemy-- and I will define the enemy in a moment-- to proclaim that Jewish-Americans have divided loyalties. Israel is but one front, albeit the most visible, in a world war between Civilized Humanity and Islamofascist barbarism and chaos.
Sure, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has said that he wants to wipe Israel off the map. "If only America knew" (to use Alison Weir's words) that Ahmadinejad held a well-orchestrated public relations event in which a ball with the Star of David falls through an hourglass to smash into the bottom-- but that a ball with the American flag already lay shattered at the bottom. Ahmadinejad has also called for the destruction of the United States, as well as the United Kingdom and its "colonies." He has, as I recall, proposed to achieve the destruction of the United States by exploding a nuclear weapon high over our country to wipe out our electronic infrastructure with electromagnetic pulse (EMP).
Meanwhile, the school massacre at Beslan in Russia was yet another battle between Civilization and Islamofascism and, as is usual when Islamofascism is one of the belligerants, children and other innocents were among the casualties. The mass transit bombings in London and Spain, the riots in France, and the murder of Theo van Gogh in the Netherlands also were Islamofascist acts of war against Civilization.
Right now, however, Civilization must win the (nonviolent) Battle of Georgetown University because its outcome will affect the ISM/PSM's ability to undermine the United States as well as Israel. The ISM/PSM's advocacy and facilitation of terroristic violence is well known and we can make our views clear to the administration of Georgetown University as well as The Hoya, Georgetown's student newspaper.

Bill, I'm not sure I understand your point. Alison Weir wrote an article that David Duke reposted on his blog... how does that make her guilty of anything? The correlation that you're drawing between the two is a bit hazy. Can you please restate your point more clearly so that we can all better understand the significance of your find? Thanks.

"Amber Pacific," David Duke needed Ms. Weir's permission to re-post her entire article on his Web site. He can post only a "fair use" excerpt without it under copyright laws. Furthermore, he wrote a glowing introduction to it. See http://www.nukeisrael.com/color4.htm for a "fair use" excerpt from Alison Weir's work; it seems like they are admirers of her writing as well. It's a big page, just search for "Weir" and you will find her. Take a look at the article title "Independent review finds Pro-Israel bias in US TV news" at the top and pay attention to the kind of stuff that surrounds it.

Wow, where did you ever find the website www.nukeisrael.com? That site is absolutely insane (and that's an understatement)! Having written a few articles myself, I am quite familiar with "fair use" laws. However, I also know that blogs usually don't abide by such policies (It's a damn shame too).
Needless to say, I still want to express to you a bit of caution... though you've only made a speculation that Weir and Duke may be working together, your post is still worded in such a way that your reader is left to believe that it is indeed a solid connection.
Be careful in doing this because if it's found out that there is no formal connection between the two, your writings will begin to lose credibility. If, however, that is not a major concern of yours... please realize that it is a major concern of the cause you're working to augment. Thanks!

I hate to lecture...
But "daniel", the use of the term "Islamofacism" sometimes leads people to believe that we're racist. Perhaps by a being smidge more politically correct, we can help eliminate this misconception.

Me and, I believe, that the majority of the people in this country are extremely tired of being politically correct. It's time to call a spade a spade. There are a lot of bad people out there and , I for one, am tired of playing footsie with them.

Daniel, "Islamofascism" is a perfect word to describe what we are fighting. Instead of blanket-smearing all Muslims as terrorists (as using "Muslims," "Islamists," and so on would do), it recognizes that there is a certain class of so-called Muslims that use their purported religion as an excuse for behaving like fascists and Nazis. It's very important to remember that Islamofascists murder genuine Muslims as well as Christians, Jews, Hindus, and other so-called infidels and kafirs.

Good point Bill. But perhaps we should keep in mind that while we're using words like "Islamofascism" to distinguish between militant Islam and the real followers of the religion, the ones we aren't referring to are mistakenly interpretting our words to be a blanket racist statement...
After all, we often use the word but seldom define it...

Islam is a religion -- actually, a political ideology -- not a race, so it is not "racist" to use the term "Islamofascism".
Indeed, the fundamental tenets of Islam as spelled out in the Qur'an and the Hadith are manifestly fascist in nature. You are drawing an artificial distinction between "militant Islam" and the "real followers of the religion".

Why does everyone continually mis quote what fascism really is? Fascism is just another form of Socialism with a very militaristic bent. I seriously doubt that " Islamofascism " is the correct term to describe those of the Moslem persuasion that adhere to using terrorism as their means of communicating with the outside world.

If we wanna play semantics, and I agree w Amber that "the tone makes the music", then the definition of "fascism" is "dictatorial system of government characterized by extreme nationalism and right-wing authoritarian views"
I don't see anything that in the Fundy Islam that differs form this definition. It complies totally w it.
Also, since "fascism" is really an elusive form of ideology and gov, some pol sci pundits deifne it as pure display and parade of power.
The Fundy Islam is bringing this display of power ad extremis and puts it in practice as the sole and ultimate tool of persuasion: "Surrender or else!"

My online dictionary defines "fascism" as:
A system of government marked by centralization of authority under a dictator, stringent socioeconomic controls, suppression of the opposition through terror and censorship, and typically a policy of belligerent nationalism and racism.
One need only glance at Iran or Saudi Arabia to see how well these nations fit this definition. The only distinction being that of dictators rather than dictator in the case of the mullahs of Iran or the Saudi Royal Family.
