I believe that the Turkish Islamist regime deliberately helped produce a Syrian leadership that is more Islamist and more Muslim Brotherhood controlled than was necessary. Since Turkey’s government was empowered to do this by the Obama administration, the White House is responsible for this extremely dangerous situation. It is a blunder or a betrayal — in effect, the motive and cause don’t matter — of the greatest dimensions. The Obama administration may “only” have paved the way for the triumph of Islamist regimes in Egypt, Libya, and Tunisia — we don’t yet know the final result — but it has been actively involved in helping promote an (avoidable) Islamist revolution in Syria.
Obama embraced the MB over Mubarak and various Islamists groups over Gaddafi.
True, it’s worrying where all this is going. The occupy wall protests are part of this plot. The Hyatt cancelled a speech because of this pressure from the Islamic supremacists.

I don’t know why you’re trying to meddle in domestic US politics. “Occupy Wall Street” has nothing to do with Israel; and if you try to align Israel supporters against this grass-roots, natively American movement, you are simply making more enemies than you need to.
I have purposely avoided reading much commentary about the OWS. The initial press and editorial coverage, including Laura’s mindless screed, has been so off-the-wall that it does not merit attention. I have a far more useful insight into the group, because my son is directly involved with these people WITH MY SUPPORT, ALONG WITH THAT OF RON PAUL AND MANY TEA PARTY ACTIVISTS. Americans are fed up with the international banking cartel that rules this country — in fact, very nearly the “99%” claimed by OWS. Do you really want to malign these people, who include some of Israel’s strongest supporters?
Look, Shmuel. OWS can move in one of two directions:
(1) It can fashion itself according to the fantasy box you have put it in, in which case it will become an ineffective, fringe movement, or
(2) It can coalesce around the very real, broad-based concensus against the crony capitalist rapers of American taxpayers — which tack it is taking, with it’s “99%” appeal.
You may think that everyone who is not a financial analyst for a Wall Street firm is an idiot; but I assure you that the idealistic, motivated young people who are spearheading this movement are not idiots. I expect them to follow track (2) and make life a hell on earth for the powers that be.

Don’t waste time with that one. Name calling is their standard procedure when the truth flies before their eyes. Very likely he does not have a single credit of his own so he recalls unlikely old family links. In Boston there is an American Revolution era Cemetery which all of us visited reverently. I do not recall anyone named “blandoatmeal”, the old, in there.

About 20 years ago we were invited to a Purim festivity prepared by the loosely organized Independent Jewish Community of Albuquerque, NM. Led by a former Israeli resident then also a Senior Professor at UNM. Most of those there were either UNM professors, Los Alamos, Sandia Labs, Honeywell Defense Systems, senior Staffers and friends.
It was a great party. As we were seated for the dinner part, in came in one of the most incredible fellows I have ever seen. Followed by his Black Feet wife and a line of about 12 children. He carried two long barrel 45 caliber revolvers and a long knife. He was Jewish. Lived in Tortugas, NM.
An “indian” outpost way up the end of the Sandia Mountain range. Obviously the family was known to several of those there. We were introduced and the wives moved on joining women chat groups.
The fellow was born amongst them from a Jewish mother and talked at lenght about the deep connections between Marrano Jews and others that became part of the Tribes.
I have a personal reason to feel a connection so we met a few times as years went by.
Sometime I will expand on this but let it be said Very prominent New Mexicans are part of our Jewish family. And many more are deeply connected to the Tribes.
