White House in an All-Out Effort to Stop Israel from Preempting Iran

Laura: The Obama regime is going all out to stop Israel from launching a preemptive strike on Iran. It’s too bad they aren’t as tenacious in preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. This also is meant to incite hostility towards Israel from the American people and set up Israel to be blamed should Iran retaliate against us. This with the collusion of pro-jihad, Israel-hating CNN and Fareed Zakaria who have no problem with Iran threatening to wipe out Israel.

Attacking Iran wouldn’t ‘achieve Israel’s long-term objectives’

U.S. Army chief Gen. Martin Dempsey calls an Israeli strike to forestall Iran’s nuclear program “not prudent” and “destabilizing” • U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon in Israel, to discuss Iran with Prime Minister Netanyahu • Defense MInister Barak calls for “crippling” sanctions against Tehran.

U.S. National Security Adviser Tom Donilon arrived in Israel over the weekend and is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday evening to discuss Iran, Syria and other regional security issues. The meeting comes on the heels of remarks by U.S. Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Martin Dempsey, who said a military strike against Iran’s nuclear facilities was “not prudent” at the moment and would destabilize the region. continue reading

As usual Israel’s supporters are looking in the wrong direction. They keep wondering when Obama will understand the danger from Iran. The problem is that American Jews are unable to wake up and expose Obama for the duplicitous traitor that he is. He is placing Israel, America and the West at grave risk. Obama’s actions are carefully calibrated to give some credence to sanctions while deliberately allowing Iran enough space to continue with its nuclear program. Thus when Iran finally gets the bomb Obama can claim he did everything possible and now we must all learn to live with a nuclear Iran including Israel.
Meanwhile Obama increases pressure on Israel not to attack and Israel cannot muster the backbone to tell the world they do not trust Obama – neither his intellect nor his intentions.

  2. BlandOatmeal says:

Obama’s actions are carefully calibrated to give some credence to sanctions…

Wrong. No credence. Iran just paraded a supply ship, escorted by an Iranian destroyer, (1) through Suez, which is controlled by supposedly anti-Assad Egypt, and (2) right past the Israeli navy and the US Mediterranean fleet. It then docked next to a Russian warship at Tartus, Syria, and proceeded to unload its cargo of illegal arms to Syria. The Americans and Israelis were authorized by the UN to search the ships, but they were afraid of the Iranian destroyer.

This is starting to look like a new Cold War, with Russia, Iran and Syria on one side, nobody on the other side and the US and Israel abstaining. It seems that whoever we elect as President lately, we get Jimmy Carter! This is deja vu all over again. Pretty sick.

  3. Lenny says:

Iran will get its bomb, and containment will be the order of the day. The mullahs will not attack anyone, it is purely a defensive measure. A second Obama Administration will pressure Israel as it’s never been pressured before to make concessions to the Palestinians. Israel has no friends in the international community and its back is against the wall.

  4. BlandOatmeal says:

    Lenny,

It sounds like you just took a handful of depressants. I get pessimistic at times, but come on! First of all, there’s nothing “defensive” about Iran’s nuclear weapons program. Whom do they have to defend against? Russia? India? Israel certainly has no territorial ambitions against Iran, and never has had. On the other side of the coin, Iran has declared over and over again its intention to wipe Israel off the map. There is no question of “containment”. Either Israel destroys Iran’s nuclear capability (as it has done in the past, against Iraq and Syria), or Israel faces annihilation. There is no “Plan B”.

Concerning Obama’s chances at re-election, Americans have been steadily more optimistic about the direction of the country since October, and Obama has benefitted from this. Obama is ahead 3.3% in the polls, which translates to 126 electoral votes. That’s not a runaway lead. Things look bad right now, for America and for Israel. That’s all that’s happened. If the people on the Right and in the right keep their heads, I expect catastrophe for Israel’s enemies, not Israel.

So now you’re a prophet, huh?

A second Obama Administration will pressure Israel as it’s never been pressured before to make concessions to the Palestinians.

This you don’t have to be a prophet for!

Israel has no friends in the international community and its back is against the wall.

As it is meant to be. We will turn to the the only true hope we have ever really had. Guess what happens after that.

  6. yamit82 says:

Funny you sound just like Hymie.

    Anyway:

You paint a very optimistic future for us. We won’t be Nuked by a peace loving rational Iran and a containable nuclear armed Iran.

Upon what you base your opinion you fail to mention.

You are assuming that Obama will win a second term and that he will impose his will on us if re-elected.

But what if Iran or one of their surrogates do attack Israel with Nukes and or Obama is not re-elected?

What if we dump BB and replace him with a PM not as suicidal and cowardly as BB?

What if Israel were to finally show pride and spine and tell Obama or who ever comes after to shove it?

Do you really want WW3? Do you really value your life and civilization so little.

Do you have any idea of what 300-400 nukes launched at the same time at various strategic targets can do? All it takes is pushing a few little red buttons.

If you are wrong, which is an almost 100% likely possibility. It’s an automatic Armageddon. If you are right, for us it will mean the same thing but slower. A MAD standoff requires two rational non suicidal protagonists. There is no evidence that the regime in Iran is rational and why should we take the chance and risk? As soon as Iran produces a weaponized Nuke on a launch vehicle even if they don’t attack, every country in our area will seek to acquire their own nukes asap.

For Israel it’s a lose lose situation. What makes it not a lose, lose situation is when we invoke the principle and our right to preemptive self defense. This is legal under-international law in case you were thinking it’s not.

If we attack and fail we will then have to destroy all of Iran, so you had better pray we attack soon with initial success because we have a second and maybe even a third fall back capability and each one is more destructive and dire for all of mankind.

Re: Obama, I agree he is likely to try but like all before him will fail, mostly because we (Israeli Jews)won’t allow it and the Palsi don’t want it. America will be so weakened economically and militarily I’m not convinced Obama or any other successor will be powerful enough to impose anything on anyone. The EU is Kaput, only a matter of time. Problems are insoluble.

Israel looks pretty good in comparison to what going down in Europe and what is coming to America and when our gas and oil production starts to come on Line it will be a geopolitical game changer. Strengthen Israel economically and thereby militarily.

I still say America The Great Satan Is Iran’s likely first target and priority. Did you know they are building a military infrastructure for themselves in Venezuela?

Israel has no friends in the international community and its back is against the wall.

Good!!! “Behold! It is a nation that will dwell in solitude and not be reckoned among the nations.”(Num. 23:9)

  7. What Tom Donilon has been telling the Israeli leadership is probably something along these lines: Forget all the opinions voiced by scholars of Islam like Bernard Lewis and Raphael Israeli who combined have more than a hundred years of experience in research on Islam and who say that Iran is looking forward to a nuclear war. Forget what Reza Kahlili , the man who used to be a CIA agent within the Revolutionary Guards is saying about the Mahdi and the end of days beliefs of the Iranian leadership . Forget what Harold Rhode who worked for the Pentagon says about Iran. Trust us. We know what we are doing. Just look what a great job we did in Egypt and Syria. And if Iran still attacks and destroys Israel we promise that we will retaliate and obliterate Iran. You are not happy? You say you do not want to be incinerated in the first place?! How odd, we never thought of that. See MAD is Dead http://www.madisdead.blogspot.com

  8. Paul says:

That’s a grim pronouncement and should really be followed with some practical applications else you must be just amusing yourself.

A future with Iranian nuclear weapons is hardly a future at all. If they get nuclear weapons, they will use them. They will use them as soon as they think they can field them, either covertly or with missiles.

We should start planning now for a second Obamination term as president. This is the best strategy for US citizens and anyone else suffering under the current rot in the White House. If it happens that the Obamination doesn’t make it, then the momentum we will have can be applied against whoever we do get and let us admit that the options among the opposition isn’t exactly inspiring. We need to start looking for other sources of power to apply in the national interests of the US and our real friends in the world like Israel. If we can get the White House back, then we will be better equipped to apply better leadership to those ends. Those running against the Obamination should taste real fear that they might not be able to rely on public loathing to get votes.

  9. cali says:

Israel must NOT listen to this sell-out; he wants to get re-elected, and doesn’t want to deal with Iran before election; ergo as soon as he wins,he’llfeed Israel to the wolfs, and do it with his evil grin! I assure youthat; hecan not be trusted!

There used to be a time, when our military brass had balls, and courage – these days all we have are ‘jelly spined p**sies, no courage -just pantsies doing the bidding of an un-american president!

Now, I may get picked up, and incarcerated in Guantanamo because Nepalitano considers me a ‘terrorist’for disagreeing with the admin!!!!

  10. BlandOatmeal says:

You say you do not want to be incinerated in the first place?! How odd, we never thought of that.

It tends to shock Western leaders, when Jews turn out to be human beings. Fortunately it seems Bibi has resisted taking mind-altering drugs, and has been displaying common sense. The last I heard, Donilon got no further than Dempsey did. Obama’s latest gambit has been to summon Netanyahu to the “Principal’s Office” in Washington. This tactic was employed once before — the King of Moab tried it on Balaam. It didn’t even work on that wicked prophet, though: Every time Balaam removed himself further and further from the sight of the Israelites, his prophesies only got more in their favor. Obama cannot doom the nation God has blessed.

“Obamination” :-) What an apt, concise expression! I hope America rejects him this Fall. Perhaps God will repent of His fierce anger against us, as He did for the Assyrians of Jonah’s day. Or perhaps he will save the righteous as he did Lot and his daughters. But if we must go down with Sodom, let us at least be spared their wickedness. God save us from five more years of Obama!

Yamit, I told my IDF friends on twitter the PM should not meet with Obama. His interest is only political and the PM has to do what is best for Israel and her people.

Said the PM should send a box lunch to Obama with a note “cant’t make the meeting, have a golf outing, enjoy, hope you like kosher pickle on Jewish rye”.

Sorry, I just don’t trust Obama. Too much at stake for Israel.

Good show, Ron, I am certain the PM WILL COMPLY WITH YOUR REQUEST!!!

He’s going to be re-elected for sure if Santorum is the nominee. Romney has a fair shot to beat him but I still wouldn’t bet on it.

    He’s not depressed; he’s delirious.

    This isn’t brooding.

    This is wishful thinking.

Nor did Hillary Clinton— when SHE promised retaliation in answer to the same question that was asked ofher by Chris Cuomo, GOOD MORNING AMERICA, Tuesday, 21 Apr 2008.

  17. Alan says:

    Lenny,

Kindly move to Tehran…maybe Catamarin and Yamit, aka your fellow Ovomit supporters will be kind enough to join you. All three of you don’t do Israel – or the USA any favors, and hey, you might like living under the perverted Mullahs.

Go – and be gone (I’d use the D word but Ted might not like that…)

  18. Alan says:

I was beginning to think Dempsey was his own man, but sadly he, Petreaus, and others aren’t – and if that’s the case with our military, we’re surely as doomed as Israel may very well be. Interesting Dempsey’s terminology, a throwback to the BUSH I days (“wouldn’t be prudent”) – we ended up with a RINO and his Jew-hating friends back then (Baker, Scowcroft), and got Clinton. Now we’ve got Jim Baker’s kind of Democrat in the White House, the one who curses Jews and wishes Israel dead, and we listen to the puppies like Donilon, Panetta, and the very model of a modern major general Dempsey? Nope, I don’t think so.

If Israel had a leader, not a little boy so afraid of the USA that he releases scores of mass murderers and allows food to flow in undisturbed to the missile-thick Gaza, he would announce that the countdown has begun and unless something stronger is done by Ovomit and crew, all bets are off. Could be tomorrow, could be next week, next month, et. al., but you get the picture.

That way Ovomit would have to do something or be exposed for the pro-Islamist, anti-Semitic coward he really is. Too bad Bibi is only marginally better.

  20. Unfortunately, I think Joseph Wouk is too optimistic in regards to believing that Obama is constructing a stratagem to fool the Iranians. The Obama administration’s policies in the Middle East regarding the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and its policy towards Syria and Hamas have done irreparable damage, more so to the US than Israel. Although we have examples in history where leaders sacrificed a lot to protect a secret, like Churchill and the bombing of Coventry, Obama appeasement of Iran is just too risky to fit this pattern.

  21. dweller says:

If Obama were merely trying to get Israel to hold off, I doubt he’d be going public with it this way. You can make much more nasty threats behind the scenes & thru back channels (which may ALSO be happening anyway).

I think the publicity of all this is about the November election.

Gas is rising steeply at the pump. Most of California is already paying $4/gal.

The whole country could be looking at $5/gal by Memorial Day [always celebrated the final Monday in May --- this yr May 28], a three-day weekend typified by much long-distance, family driving.

If trends continue, the country could see $6 gas by the Labor Day holiday weekend in early September — and that’s just a few weeks before Election Day.

That wouldn’t look good for an incumbent president’s chances of re-election.

BHO may be preparing to blame the price hike on Israel

    — hence all the public talk about asking GOI to hold back on a strike.
