White House: We Have Eyes Inside Iran’s Nuclear Facilities
- White House spokesman Jay Carney sought to reassure Israel on Friday when he said in a press briefing that the U.S. has real-time information on the Iranian nuclear program.
“We have ‘eyes’ inside the nuclear facilities and we will know in real time when and if Iran decides to cross the threshold and develop nuclear weapons,” Carney said, according to a report by Channel 10 News.
If so, a statement like this sounds like a good way to get those “eyes” caught and executed. Didn’t Aldrich Ames go to prison for “outing” friendly agents who were later executed or sent to gulags?
And how are they revealing information the Iranians do not suspect already?
It is equivalent to the Soviets merely saying in the 1950′s and 1960′s that they have eyes inside the Pentagon. That would not have helped us catch and execute spies inside the Pentagon.
Of course, if the Iranians think that their nuclear program is spy free, I have doubts it will get anywhere.
If I remember correctly, he provided specifics.
When a government openly reports having spies in foreign and critical locations it means that they have no such resources at all. Soetoro’s minions would not be allowed to make such statements if they were true.
No intelligence agency of even operative would give credence to stupid claims such as those by Carney.
