A Disturbing Event: The American Conservative Union Embraces an Islamist

The conservative movement appears to be at a crossroads in its approach to the threat of Islamic supremacism—not only abroad but at home. Does the emergence of the Muslim Brotherhood as the dominant force of the “Arab Spring” bode ill for America? Or is the Brotherhood merely another “political actor” as the Obama administration would have us believe? Is Huma Abedin, Hillary Clinton’s Deputy Chief of Staff, a potential security risk worth investigating, as Representative Michele Bachmann and four conservative congressmen have suggested? Or is the mere raising of this question a witch-hunt, as Senator John McCain and Speaker John Boehner and numerous Democrats maintain? … Continue reading…

Unless the conservative movement and the GOP purges itself of the treasonous skunk grover norquist and his ilk, then they are no better than Obama, the democrats and the left and have no credibility in attacking Obama on national security issues.

  2. Bill Narvey says:

Political correctness/fear of be exposed to charges of Islamophobia are intruding into the ACU.

Those handful of Republicans and Gaffney who have dared to openly note that the MB/Islamists are infiltrating the government in halls close to the offices of power, are making the RNC and likely the Romney team, nervous.

Attacking right wing powerbroker Norqvist as regards his connections with radical Islamists, is doubly concerning for not only would the Romney ticket be exposed to charges of Islamophobia and racism, but Norqvist can do the Romney ticket great damage. Stipping Norqvist of some of his power, would be advantageous to the Repubs, but right now there is not sufficient time.

Recall that political correctness/fear was already evident in the Republican party when in the last election campaign, McCain went ballistic over Bill Cunningham’s reference to Barak HUSSEIN Obama in an address and ordered no mention thereafter was to be made of Obama’s middle name.

If there is to be any possibility of pushback against political correctness/fear of accusations of Islamophobia and racism should politicians or any institutional leader dare to be critical of the alleged Islamist infiltration into the U.S. government and Islamic Jihadism in America and the world, that possibility will only emerge if Romney wins the election.

  3. C.R. says:

No genuine conservative group or individual would embrace Islam–they are RINOS AND CINOS!

Islamists have wormed their way in and all throughout the federal government, intelligence and military–including many state, local governments and police–with the help of the Marxist democrat party including RINOS; it is their stated goal to Islamize America—they together with the Marxist democrats and RINOS–are working to destroy The United States of America–working to destroy American liberty!

  4. C.R. says:

    @ Laura:

Largely true–although a skunk only stinks–Grover Norquist who himself is a Muslim and those of his ilk are very dangerous–and they have blood in their hands!

  5. Vinnie says:

What we are seeing being attempted here is what I call “the British model”.

In Britain today, the media, the major universities, and the national government to include both major parties are so lousy with Islamsist influence, promoted mostly via Saudi petrodollars, that it is not very far-fetched to say that the UK no longer exists as an indepedent state. The are little more than a self-governing, autonomous colony of Saudi Arabia, with their foreign policy and also their internal policy as these relate to Israel in the former and treatment of Moslems in the latter case dictated by the Gulf Arabs.

This is true even as Britain, according to polls cited by Caroline Glick and anecdotal accounts by friends of mine who have lived or still live in Britain, is among the least anti-Semitic and anti-Israel countries in Europe, at least at the street level.

You start with a failing, insecure economic environment. You have a leadership class that doesn’t believe in anything but acquiring wealth and privileges for themselves; won’t stand up or make sacrifices for anything. Being comfortable is everything. Due to the struggling economy, institutions that really don’t create wealth, but which are filled with “intellectuals” with healthy consumptive appetites and a sense of entitlement, are filled with influential people who are more than ready to bend over for the Petrodollar Dime.

So, the univesities become virulent breeding grounds for Islamist PC and Israel hatred. Graduates from the same get the good jobs in the media, where they go on to become the dominant megaphone for such putrid views, shutting all others out. It is all the man or woman in the street ever hears. Oh, they let an occasional contrary voice have their say now and again, but this is only to inoculate the public against thinking that the media is “controlled”; even if these opposing views are cogently stated, it simply leaves the public confused and apathetic about the relevant issues. That is fine with the bad guys; a confused and thus apathetic body politic leaves the ‘anointed ones’ free to pursue relevant pollicies that the public would otherwise find abhorrent and perverse, without provoking any public outcry.

As with the universities and the media, major political parties are similarly corrupted by graduates of these same institutions or direct bribery. The average person may not have the opportunity or access to such educational establishments and related follow-on careers, but these are the only paths to powerful positions in media, and the government. Of course, the bought and paid for professors, as they retire, only hire and promote younger fellow travelers, to ensure perpetuation of this dynamic.

In the end, whether you are conservative or liberal, Tory or Labor, Republican or Democrat, at the national level, no matter whom you vote for, you will get Israel bashers and Islamist butt-kissers.

The strategy is clear. They have already succeeded in the UK; you might as well write them off. They are trying to do the same thing here. They’ve already got the Democratic Party, lock stock and barrel. They are working on the GOP.

What we are witnessing right now is an elite-level civil war. There are some in the U.S. establishment and power broker class who have woken up to this, if belatedly, and are trying to fight back. This is evidenced by Newt Gingrich’s statement during the campaign about the Palestinians being a “made up people” – the first time I’ve EVER heard a major candidate say such a thing – and the surprising candidacy of Rick Santorum. In the latter case, he arguably came within a few self-inflicted political wounds in Ohio and Michigan of becoming the GOP nominee, and as such would have represented a HUGE threat to the bad guys. Same can be said for Sarah Palin, to cite another example.

We are seeing this battle in the success of the anti-Obama documentary, “2016″, which was reported as the 8th biggest grossing film in the U.S. this past weekend, and in terms of viewers per screen – because of limited distribution – was the #1 film in the country. It is now opening in many more theaters (yes, I saw it, and I recommend it). If the bad guys had total sway, we would not be seeing this happen.

It will be better if Romney wins, but we are hardly out of the woods. His heart is in the right place…it is his spine that worries me. But with him, at least there is a chance.

If Obama wins, there is practically no chance. We’re the UK, then. We’re the “Saudi States of America”, which we practically are right now in every policy way that he can impact as long as he remains in office, up to the very limits – and perhaps slightly beyond – of American political possibility.
