Pro-Israel Language Removed From Democratic Party Platform

I can understand Obama doing this but to have the Democratic Party with all its Jews and Jewish money sign on is beyond belief. The only question remaining is how is Obama going to try to force Israel to comply? Ted Belman

2012 DNC platform deletes passages on Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, and Hamas

Several pro-Israel sections of the 2008 Democratic Party platform have been removed from the 2012 platform—on Jerusalem, Palestinian refugees, and Hamas. The new platform represents another shift by the Obama Democrats toward the Palestinian position on key issues in the peace process.

For Jerusalem, the new platform has been brought into line with the Obama administration’s policy of not recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital and supporting its division. Jerusalem is unmentioned in the 2012 document, whereas the 2008 and 2004 Democratic Party platforms declared “Jerusalem is and will remain the capital of Israel…It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths.” The Obama administration’s refusal to recognize Jerusalem has been a point of significant controversy in recent months.

On the issue of Palestinian refugees, the new document has removed language from the 2004 and 2008 platforms specifying that Palestinian “refugees” should be settled in a future Palestinian state, not in Israel.

The 2004 platform: “The creation of a Palestinian state should resolve the issue of Palestinian refugees by allowing them to settle there, rather than in Israel.”

The 2008 platform: The peace process “should resolve the issue of Palestinian refugees by allowing them to settle there, rather than in Israel.”

The 2012 platform contains no language on the matter.

Previously, Obama has incorporated the Palestinian positions on Jerusalem and borders into his administration’s policies. It appears that with his party’s new platform, he is also doing so with refugees.

Gone as well is the language from 2008 on the terrorist group Hamas, which currently controls the Gaza Strip. That platform declared, “The United States and its Quartet partners should continue to isolate Hamas until it renounces terrorism, recognizes Israel’s right to exist, and abides by past agreements.”

The 2012 platform contains no mention of Hamas.

Previous platforms also contained promises to maintain Israel’s “qualitative military edge” in the region. The 2008 platform, for example, spoke of a “commitment which requires us to ensure that Israel retains a qualitative edge for its national security and its right to self-defense.” The 2012 platform mentions only that “[t]he administration has also worked to ensure Israel’s qualitative military edge in the region,” with no commitment to doing so in the future.

    1. Yidvocate says:

And this is before the November 6th election. Can one even imagine what the Obamanation has in store for the Jew state after the election when this very thinly veiled Jew-hater has “more flexibility”?

      I shudder to think!!

    2. Samuel Fistel says:

The soon-to-be permanent Democrat majority will be anti-Jewish Israel:

At the Republican National Convention we saw the last hurrah of traditional America. Republicans consist of decent white christan conservative Americans who only want to work for a living to support their families, and to pay taxes to support America.

The Democrats are led by a shrinking group (they have no children) of delusional atheistic white liberals, who are paternalistic racists that get blacks and latinos to vote for them by promising unlimited welfare.

But here’s the ultimate problem: America is not just on the verge of an irreversible decline; it has actually already started the irreversible decline which will end with America becoming Mexamerica.

Whites (and Republicans) are on the way to becoming a permanent minority. Of the three largest states, New York and California are already permanently Democrat. A Republican can win only by taking Texas. Texas is already 55% non-white. The Republicans win there by getting a high white voter turn-out, having most whites vote Republican, and discouraging a high non-white voter turnout. The Texas Republicans never talk about illegal latino immigration, because they cannot afford to antagonize the mexican voters. They are trying to make it harder for illegal latinos to vote (for Democrats, of course) by tightening voter identification, but the Democrats are successfully fighting it.

That’s why the election is so close. Although more and more undecided whites will vote for Romney, there is nothing Republicans can do or say that will ever get blacks and latinos to vote for Romney instead of Obama.

And it’s all futile, anyway. America is already saddled with so much debt that it can never repay it. All the middle class jobs which used to pay decently have gone to China, and will never come back. So our real choice in November is really just between Romney slowing down our rush to bankruptcy by a little, or Obama and the Democrats speeding it up. And if Obama does lose, then a Democrat Obama clone will just pick up where he left off in 2016.

    3. Dan says:

      @ Samuel Fistel:
Sadly, looks like a great and correct analysis. The only good thing would be if Israel would finaly learn not to depend on US.

    4. rongrand says:

      @ Samuel Fistel:

And everyone laughed when Glenn Beck suggested Obama with the help of George Soros was out to destroy the Republic.

Your a Marxist who embraces Islam, bowing to the Saudi prince and determined to down grade the US.

Obama, we don’t give a damn what you think, Jerusalem is the Capital of the Jewish Nation of Israel. you freaken anti-Semite.

Shortly you will be known as a one term president thank G-d.

    5. James B - Canada says:

Excellent Summary. But the tragedy re: the Us debt which just crossed the 16 trill barrier a few hours ago, is that money that could have been spent on financing the development of new machinery, manufacture financing ie, govt subsidies for the purchase of newer efficient machinery in machining, tooling, etc.. will instead be going to a govt account in China where it will be spent on the Chinese military training, or investments in mining or above ground gold, silver, platinum,,, to support the Chinese Yuan.

You see why I am so pissed at the Ivy League blue bloods that blew it? @ Samuel Fistel:

    6. Eric R. says:

      @ Samuel Fistel:

      Mr. Fisterl,

Sadly, you are correct. America and Europe will both cease to be Anglo-Western entities. But Israel is learning that. Notice how Israeli foreign policy is turning to Asia. The Koreans are building naval vessels and LNG facilities for Israel; the Chinese are building a freight rail line from Eilat to Ashdod, and various Indian companies are cooperating on software.

The Israelis know where their future lies; it is not with the West.

“They who can give up essential liberty to gain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety”
      Benjamin Franklin

BUll: We didn’t cause the debt and should not be made to pay it off. Wall Street and big banksters in collusion with corrupt congress and corrupt state legislatures are the cause of Americas and the worlds economic collapse. So the republicans won’t agree to tax these sacred cows or their derivatives, which by the way, if taxed, would pay off the debt. (Some say as much as 130 trillion bucks. Ryan and Romney’s cure: Severe fiscal austerity leading to a deep depression and massive unemployment, loss of most individual freedoms needed to enforce their austerity policies ( a virtual police state). The Laws NDAA, are already in place and the restrictive enforcement infrastructure as well.

The republicans asked: (Christie and Ryan) “Americans are wonderful people who don’t mind sacrificing for their kids and grand kids.”

Paul Ryan was all for the bail outs. Christie sold his State Chopper like Palin sold her State owned plane. What a noble Sacrifice?

Social security and the weather bureau are stocking up on millions of rounds of 9mm illegal hollow point ammo.

Bank holidays are a given sooner or later.

These secret (legal or illegal)dealings, first eliminating regulations, then inventing and trading derivatives, which are the major cause of the world’s financial collapse. They are the prime business of Wall Street, not some sideline despite the lies offered by bought and paid for Politicians and media like Fox News and the WSJ.

These shady dealings in derivatives caused the $1.5 quadrillion derivatives bubble which is behind the world’s financial collapse.

The Money Junkies are not willing to get a haircut and will make us schnooks pay to save their asses (wealth). If all else fails they will do what they have always done in the past: They will take us to war to cover their perfidity and even to increase their wealth and power. Wealth and power or Power and wealth have always been symbiotic, and always at the expense of we poor schnooks.

Madame Thérèse Defarge start your knitting.

The American people are being had by both the right and left, Democrat liberals and Republican conservatives.

Bernie Madoff spoke truth when he said the markets are all fixed and manipulated and he like Corizine and the Goldman Boys would be enjoying his stolen loot if he had not been so stupid to rob from the all powerful 1%.

In the end they will All blame the Jews. Forewarned is forearmed.

    8. Shy Guy says:

Catarin, we know you’re out there.

      Dressed in pink?

    9. Ken Besig says:

By now no informed person can deny that the Democratic party is hostile to Israel and that Obama is personally and politically antagonistic to the Jewish People and the Jewish State of Israel.

    10. Vinnie says:

No volunteers to answer Ted’s questions?

      OK. I’ll dive in.

First, as to why this language went into the DNC platform despite all the Jewish Democrats out there:

      – They’re chumps.

      – They aren’t really Jews, or at least Jews first. They are liberals first. They are scared to death that Romney is a pawn of those “lunatics” in the Tea Party (at least all the cool people in the media tell them the Tea Party folks are lunatics; not like they personally know any).

      – I understand through the Jewish grapevine here that not nearly as much Jewish $$$ went to NCHO this time around anyway.

And, for this last reason, Obama doesn’t care anymore. Or worse, perhaps he feels that he doesn’t have to care, because the election is going to be rigged anyway, and he’s just putting everyone on notice what he’s going to go. OR…since he’s not getting Jewish $$$, he needed to do that to get more Arab $$$.

I don’t know that the election is going to be rigged, but Obama sure will try.

Now, how will he implement this, you ask, Ted?

That is the whole point of his doing everything he can within the very limits of political possibility to prevent Israel from striking Iran. It has nothing to do with the election, except insofar as before the election, he’s more limited in the degree to which he can “punish” Israel for her “defiance” on this issue.

The real reason he can’t afford for Israel to strike Iran, is that the prospect of an imminently nuclear Iran is his most potent point of leverage to use against Israel to force them to capitulate to the PA. He wants a situation where he’s restrained Israel from hitting Iran…until Israel can no longer do so effectively, but the U.S. still can.

At that point, he issues his ultimatum, not to Iran, but to Israel: sign the dotted line on a Saudi-style “peace” agreement, or we let Iran go nuclear.

He’d mean it. He’d rather not let Iran go nuclear, but he imagines they can be “contained” at least in terms of threatening the U.S. So, Israel is left twisting in the wind, the de facto arms embargo against Israel from the U.S. under Obama is intensified, and the U.S. then goes on to increase pressure by utilizing the UN to further isolate Israel as a pariah Apartheid South Africa-style state.

This is the way people like Samantha Powers, John Mearsheimer, Stephen Walt…and Barack Hussein Obama think.

Oh, and then ALL the Moslems will love us. See, we won’t have to worry about a nuclear Iran here in the U.S., because Obama would burrow his nose sooooo far up the tushies of the Iranian mullahs, that they’d never attack us. He’d find some other way to appease them, if selling out Israel wasn’t enough. I mean, the man behaves as if he thinks he practically invented appeasement as national policy.

Yep, folks, that’s what we have to look forward to if we get another four years of NCHO.

Say what you want about Romney…he HAS to be better!

Romney in 2012: Because there’s nowhere to go but up!

    11. Michael Ejercito says:

Link to usenet comment thread is here.

    12. catarin says:

Only the Jews control the future of Jerusalem. If the Jews say no to a division of Jerusalem, then the answer is no.

It’s an election year in the U.S. If the Democratic platform has neutralized the Jew/Arab problem, so what? It’s still the Jews who make the decisions that concern them.

If the Arabs would stop lying about their rights to land in the Holy Land, there would be no problem. But since they are a jihadi propagandized people, they will lay claim to anything they can. I’m surprised they haven’t laid claims to the Moon and Mars.

Ishy, I don’t get your reference to pink. I love pink.

    13. J.S. says:

Reports have it that the issue of Jerusalem as capital of Israel (my, what a concession by Hussein and the DNC!) has been re-instated by a voice vote at the DNC. After three attempts, the speaker claims that he heard a two-thirds majority “yes” vote — that was immediately followed by loud boos on the Floor of the convention. This illustrates (imo) the change in the Democratic Party — to a far more Leftist, radical, anti-Israel tilt…(should act as an ominous forewarning as to what Obama will do if re-elected, once he no longer has to bother about campaigns or winning elections, then we’ll see his true face with respect to Israel.)

    14. catarin says:

According to NBC news, President Obama ordered it.

    15. J.S. Said:

      What caused these changes?

    16. birdalone says:

      @ Michael Ejercito:
The anti-war left has been a core group in the Democratic Party since 1967-70.
I do not know when they became obsessed with Israel, but part of it is their stereotyped narrative that can be summarized as blaming Bush43’s war in Iraq with the “AIPAC-Zionist-Neocon Conspiracy” They really believe AIPAC is the most powerful lobby in the USA. I have suggested the National Rifle Association and AARP are far more powerful, to no avail.

Cast Lead in 2008 further emboldened this faction.

And, once the Democrats focussed on Obamacare instead of the housing crisis, and jobs, they lost most of the fiscal conservatives who had given them their majorities in 2006 and 2008.

With no leadership of the Democratic Party, now Obama’s base is dependent on the anti-war left, and I guess anyone under 45.

I find it incomprehensible that Obama’s Democratic Party went along with his State Department’s (and his) refusal to even confirm that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel. Do they not realize that is more delegitimizing the sovereignty of Israel than any boycott in Norway? and, for the record, I boycott Norway and Sweden in return :)

    17. birdalone says:

btw, I believe this caused an earthquake on Long Island. I would love to know how Steve Israel’s week is going. He is the congressman who also chairs the DCCC. I think the GOP just won two congressional seats with this, assuming they have candidates.

    18. J.S. says:

      @ Michael Ejercito:
The world has changed; it’s not the Democratic Party of old…It’s been infiltrated by radicals. There was a recent poll about Democrats and attitudes toward Israel — a mere 53 percent support Israel. that is a very slim majority. (I can’t put my finger on any one issue which has caused this — there have been a number of changes. The education system — it’s been propagandizing about the “plight” of Palestinians for ages; “victimhood” is cherished; it’s the routine lies found in the media; — then, there’s the moral/cultural relativism (in Canada, Islam and Muslims are above critique, unless you don’t mind being labeled a “hater” or an Islamphobe — that occurs even when all you do is denounce virulent antisemitism, terrorist attacks, or honor killings). I suspect things will only grow worse if/when Obama is re-elected…
