IDF set to evacuate Palestinian ‘outpost’ built in E1

    By JPOST.COM STAFF

Security forces deliver evacuation notice to some 200 Palestinians in Bab al-Shams, an “outpost” constructed on Friday in the sensitive E1 corridor in protest of preliminary Israeli plans to develop the area.

Security forces on Saturday initiated the evacuation of the Bab al-Shams “outpost,” Palestinian news agency Ma’an reported, constructed by Palestinians in protest of preliminary Israeli plans to develop Jerusalem’s sensitive E1 corridor.

On Friday, approximately 200 Palestinians from villages in the West Bank erected about 20 large, steel-framed tents on the disputed land, in order to prevent Israel from building thousands of new housing units in the area.

The Palestinians claim the E1 plans would sound the death knell to a two-state solution by breaking up the territorial continuity of a future Palestinian state.

According to Ma’an’s report, the IDF on Saturday morning delivered evacuation orders to Palestinians in the makeshift village, which allegedly stated that the army would use force to disperse the Palestinians if necessary.

For their part, the protestors reportedly have decided to resist the evacuation: “We only have our determination, and it will not be easy to expel us from our homes. We will use our experience and skills to remain on the land,” Ma’an quoted protest leader Abu Rahma as saying.

Moreover, Channel 10 reported Saturday afternoon that dozens of Palestinians had descended on Bab al-Shams to protest the evacuation, and were attempting to breach the security perimeter.

37 Comments to IDF set to evacuate Palestinian ‘outpost’ built in E1

    1. Mickey Oberman says:

Israel should not engage in long drawn out negotiations with those Arab trespassers.

One Merkava tank could collapse those illegal tents in minutes.

Then, except for some howls from the Arabs and their friends all over the world, the incident will be quickly forgotten.

We know the Arabs would dearly have one of their own killed in the undertaking so a small crew of IDF soldiers might have to
enter each tent, perhaps with a pig on a leash, before the tank arrives to shoo out the sacrifice to the moon god.

    2. the phoenix says:

for simplicity sake: no media, no cameras, no nothing.
the idf crew should be divided into two teams competing who will be the first to evacuate his half of this illegal musloid outpost.
the winning team gets a weekend at a 5* hotel in the dead sea or eilat…
i think before one could say ‘mohammad was a pedophile’ it will be all over.
      :)

    3. Mickey Oberman says:

      @ the phoenix:
      Phoenix,
I agree with you for the most part.
However, close media coverage is essential to rebut the lies that are certain to be propagated by the Arabs.

    4. the phoenix says:

      Mickey Oberman Said:

However, close media coverage is essential to rebut the lies that are certain to be propagated by the Arabs.

      mickey,
why be on the defensive / apologizing/ trying to convince the world to see how wonderful and humanistic we israelis are….
you know, i know and even ahmed knows that it will NEVER happen since the media is just sitting as a hunter with a telescopic rifle waiting to pounce on the prey…
you do remember lt. col. eisner right?
if any ‘news reporters’ DO show up, after being told NOT TO… why this means that all bets are off!
kneecaps gone! as well as porcelain caps… (and now i am talking about the lucky ones)

    5. Mickey Oberman says:

      Phoenix,

Israel, as a sovereign state, has the right and, indeed, obligation to reject the entry of those media that are perpetually hostile to it.
That it does not do so now is a tragedy of immense proportions.
“Freedom of the press” has, in the case against Israel, come to include the vilest fiction ever written.
The journalists of every medium now feel duty bound, it seems, to be more anti Israel/antiSemitic than their fellow scribblers.
A fair and authentic record should be maintained for inclusion in the history of the land.

Smashing of knee and tooth caps of offenders would be satisfying but too late to prevent the damage those toothless, crippled “eye witnesses” would conjure up.
Their absence from the scene or their death is the best means of minimizing if not totally preventing their hateful lies.
Keep them out of Israel and in fear of their lives when they accompany the other side into battle.
The designation “PRESS” must not be a sign of immunity to do damage to Israel as most of them appear to think.

    6. the phoenix says:

      @ Mickey Oberman:
      Dear Mickey,
I am sure you could detect a great deal of frustration in my post. I am currently viewing two hours on YouTube of the late (unfortunately) rabbi kahane that yamit has posted on another thread. It is excellent!
I hear his words and his message and I am screaming with rage and hear myself mutter like shy guy “stupid Jews!”

A fair and authentic record should be maintained for inclusion in the history of the land.

I agree with you but of course we know that this will never happen. It is the scorpion and the frog all over. Their antisemitism camouflaged in ‘anti Israel policies’ is just that.
So let’s be fair about it.

Their absence from the scene or their death is the best means of minimizing if not totally preventing their hateful lies.

      Agreed.
      AFTER

Smashing of knee and tooth caps of offenders

The Jews must stop thinking ‘what will the others (goyim) say’…change the thinking mode.
Awaken the sleeping giant and ‘udrob!’
We have the goodness in us ( yes I know, we have our sticks and pettiness, and foibles…so? ) and the genius to create SOMETHING out of NOTHING…but no one is going to love us for it and we should not even seek it!
We should seek by deeds, to be feared!

    7. the phoenix says:

My comment is in moderation (must be my lucky day :( )

    8. Mickey Oberman says:

      Phoenix,

“if any ‘news reporters’ DO show up, after being told NOT TO… why this means that all bets are off!
kneecaps gone! as well as porcelain caps… (and now i am talking about the lucky ones)”

      Yes. A very moderate stance.

But, once again, I agree with you.

Mickey (Funny face smiling – I couldn’t find the faces.)

    9. RaymondF says:

Could the IDF rout them with tear gas? Or would they be prepared with gas masks? In any case they must be cleared off ASAP or it will just be another Arab propaganda bonanza.

    10. CuriousAmerican says:

      No one thinks.

Cutting out media will not be easy.

The Palestinians will have webcams. Israel has to jam wi-fi. Some will have satellite access. That will have to be jammed, too. Some will have cellphones.

      @ Mickey Oberman:
One Merkava tank could collapse those illegal tents in minutes.

Then, except for some howls from the Arabs and their friends all over the world, the incident will be quickly forgotten.

They won’t forget, if people die, which is what you seem to want.

And you wonder why I said bloodthirsty.

      Does anyone use their head?

      Fire and water.

It is winter. They are on a muddy mountain.

Flush them out. Water hose them on a frigid day. Add detergent to make them slip.

      Or use heat rays http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tvZCz_3Fqog

The US military uses heat rays. Probably developed by an Israeli company.

      =============

Gas will not work. Gas can be overcome by masks, or by vinegar soaked scarves.

Skunk solution may work, but only because it is wet and will act like water.

      Think.

I know you all want another Mavi Marmara with more blood. But the Mavi Marmara incident got Israel vilified.

      So outwit them.

Flush them out, or heat ray them out.

By the Way, heat rays can be defeated with aluminum foil, so flushing seems to be the best method.

Unleash dogs if you have to. Not to attack; but Muslims absolutely detest dogs. Less loose 100 truly smelly mutts.

Focus microwaves can make people nauseous.

Focused sound waves can make unbearable noise confined to a small area.

NONE OF THIS – except the heat rays – is high tech.

Stop screaming for blood and use your heads.

    11. the phoenix says:

      @ CuriousAmerican:

I know you all want another Mavi Marmara with more blood

Did somebody throw a stink bomb in here, or do I smell a distinct american scent?
      I’m just curious.

    12. CuriousAmerican says:

      @ the phoenix:
Did somebody throw a stink bomb in here, or do I smell a distinct american scent?
      I’m just curious.

Ad Hominem. You use it when losing a debate.

      ————

      But ignoring his insult:

I gave two methods to clear the outpost rapidly without causing major injury or death which could be used to vilify Israel.

      It would be effective.

But apparently, effective is not wanted. Blood is.

    13. Mickey Oberman says:

Ad hominem – Your Mavi Marmara comment asked for it. But let us not fight among ourselves.
We are all basically in agreement.

Pigs would do the job more effectively than dogs.
By the way, pigs are highly intelligent animals. With proper training, a healthy diet laden with laxative, those porkers could chase the Arab swine all the way back to — Arabia.

      All good ideas from everyone.

Now all we can do is wait and see what the government decides to do.

      Mickey

    14. Judith B. Boyd says:

Mickey, you are the ONLY one I have seen with the brilliant pig idea!!!! WE are only forbidden in Torah to touch them if they are DEAD!!! NOTHING is said about handling them when they are ALIVE!!!! Just get a bunch of young ones & tell tho
se arabs they have a half hour to leave or the pigs will be turned loose, & DO it!!! Train them to come for food–let someone sneak around behind the tents & use that call, & they will come RUNNING!!! Problem solved, as the land will be ‘contaminated’.

Anyone concerned about a mosque going up in their neighborhood could use the same tactic. A little Southern country ‘fun’ like a pig race with young pigs, & “Oh my! they just got loose & we had to chase them all OVER the place to catch them!!!” (And you make SURE they run all over the ‘proposed’ mosque site!!!)

    15. Dave says:

The government should have ignored them. This was set up for confrontation and if they didn’t get it they would have become bored and cold, then slinked off home.
If they did happen to stay then what’s the real problem. Once the bulldozers turned up then there would more reason to evacuate the site.
I know how Bibis mind works and the chance of any building in E1 is about the same as a snowball in hells.

    16. Shy Guy says:

      Judith B. Boyd Said:

WE are only forbidden in Torah to touch them if they are DEAD!

No we are not – except possibly Cohanim.

    17. Mickey Oberman says:

      Judith,

Perhaps we could form a HAM for moHAMmed club to train the little grunts to do our bidding.

We might even get the little baconeers to like the smell of camel urine, the Arabs favourite after dinner aperitif and teach them how to crash a party.

The pigs would be in no danger from the Jews or the Muslims. For them it would be one grande unending fête all the way to Mecca and beyond.

The possibilities for good are unlimited.

    18. yamit82 says:

      @ CuriousPhoenix:

“I’m just curious,” and he is Curious American. Isn’t Phoenix in America? Then you both must be Curious Americans.

      How nice?

    19. yamit82 says:

      @ Judith B. Boyd:

We are even allowed to have pet pigs (except in Jerusalem), just can’t eat them. We we can’t eat horses and Camels, dogs or cats either but I’m not sure about people?

    20. Shy Guy says:

      yamit82 Said:

but I’m not sure about people?

      Bon appetite!

[I removed the original link due to its being a halachically unreliable site in general, even if the examples of permitted cannibalism were accurate.]

    21. Shmuel HaLevi says:

      Nothing to worry about.
Netanyahu “begociated” a nice secret agreement with Jordan. Just as much as he did with Hamas.
No more war! No more building on E1. No more settlements.

    22. the phoenix says:

      @ yamit82:
      As Mickey overman wrote above

Ad hominem – Your Mavi Marmara comment asked for it.

(Thank you Mickey), I thought it was obvious.and REALLY did not expect that from yamit.
Your comment puts me in equivalency with the CA???
Am I STILL being ‘over sensitive’ ?
And by the way, I am not in America but in Canada.

    23. yamit82 says:

      @ the phoenix:

Just kidding Phoenix, why would I want to dump on you?

    24. yamit82 says:

      @ Shmuel HaLevi:

Biggest problem with BB is that he is a proven pathological liar and no governments of Israel has been less transparent than his.

    25. yamit82 says:

      @ CuriousAmerican:

      Police Forces Evacuate Arab Outpost
The Judea and Samaria District of the Israeli Police evacuates the illegal Arab outpost in the area known as E1.

      :P :P

    26. Canadian Otter says:

      Too busy watching settlers?

Israel’s security forces were caught flat-footed on Thursday night when ‘Palestinians’ set up tents and squatted on land located in E-1 between Jerusalem and Maaleh Adumim. They should not have been. The ‘Palestinians’ set up a Facebook page for the ‘event’ on December 30. http://israelmatzav.blogspot.ca/2013/01/israels-intelligence-agencies-missed.html#links

      Lack of attention? Really?

And so here comes another Arab claim to Jewish land before the courts.

The court stopped the demolition on Saturday after four Palestinian families petitioned the court, saying the land belonged to them. Israel claims at least part of the outpost is built illegally on state land. http://www.timesofisrael.com/police-begin-evacuation-of-palestinian-outpost/

Arabs were removed, but the camp stays. Another Arab fact on the ground.

    27. Mickey Oberman says:

      To whom it may concern.

      I quote The Phoenix,
“And by the way, I am not in America but in Canada.”

      I quote me,
“Me too. Toronto, formerly called Hog Town, bred and born.”

People may praise Obama’s America for the support it gives Israel. I decry it. It spends far more supporting Islamic regimes and gets nothing in return that it could not get elsewhere. Except for its importation of Islamic sharia law and infidel hatred.

Harper’s Canada, with only one tenth the population of the USA has, of all the countries in the world, been Israel’s staunchest supporter.

You should never allow me to get on a Canada rant.

    28. steven l says:

Why did IL not prevent this from the onset?
The pal will by all means try to create anarchy.

    29. Mickey Oberman says:

      @ steven l:
      Steven,

Israel and its incredible intelligence services does an incredible, nay, miraculous job of fending off hundreds of attacks from all of its boarders and even the sea.

Why do some people persist in believing it possesses a crystal ball?

Perhaps a little assistance from those wise ball gazers could help the country achieve 100% efficiency.

    30. dionissis mitropoulos says:

      CuriousAmerican Said:

I gave two methods to clear the outpost rapidly without causing major injury or death which could be used to vilify Israel.

And they were methods in the right direction.

      Curious American said:

      No one thinks.

They won’t forget, if people die, which is what you seem to want.

And you wonder why I said bloodthirsty.

      Does anyone use their head?

      Think.

I know you all want another Mavi Marmara with more blood.

Stop screaming for blood and use your heads.

But apparently, effective is not wanted. Blood is.

Would it have cost you anything to make your good suggestions without saying anything of the above?

Did you really have to tag them with bloodthirstiness and thoughtlessness?

Doesn’t this decrease the likelihood of achieving your objective of persuading them?

Or, maybe, you had another objective?

You can’t allude to your moral excellency and expect the plebes to concur with you say – people get offended, you know.

      CuriousAmerican Said:

But the Mavi Marmara incident got Israel vilified.

Some even went as far as blaming the IDF for the Mavi Marmara, forgetting that the Israelis found themselves in self-defense – do you remember?

    31. dionissis mitropoulos says:

      @ Mickey Oberman:

Dr Richard Landes is fighting for this cause with all he’s got.

    32. @ Mickey Oberman:
We vikings in Oslo was sitting round the fire waiting for a new springtime this time of the year. It was the time of the storytellers. Lies or not who did care ? This was tradission. we needed to survive. Somebody impatient went south to see Paris in the spring.

    33. dionissis mitropoulos says:

      @ the phoenix:
      the phoenix Said:

Your comment puts me in equivalency with the CA???

Phoenix, Yamit was following suit with the other thread we had, i added there some more jokes on the moral equivalences of our curious preacher and friend.

      the phoenix Said:

And by the way, I am not in America but in Canada.

I thought you were an Israeli, that’s why i made a joke about the Arab rockets.

    34. the phoenix says:

      @ dionissis mitropoulos:
      it’s a long story dionissis ( so what else is new?… :) )
but actually i am ‘all three’…

so now i am typing on the old lap top instead of the ipad which was ruined because of YOU…

    35. dionissis mitropoulos says:

      @ the phoenix:
I thought the iPad ruination was just a literary exaggeration of yours. Sorry for your loss!!!

I guess it’s the same as if i had smashed your gadget with a hammer. I mean, since the result is the same (a malfunctioning computer) who cares about intentions and dwellerian aberrations, and stuff like that.

We all learned something on equivalence from yesterday’s discussion. And there is really only one person we should thank for that, but he doesn’t like to show off, so let us not compliment him, he will take it as effusive and embarassing – so much modesty in him!

    36. the phoenix says:

      dionissis mitropoulos Said:

I thought the iPad ruination was just a literary exaggeration of yours. Sorry for your loss!!!

      dionissis,
i was obviously kidding! (hence, the :) )
no it was not ruined…i just prefer typing on this one, where i do not have the annoying feature of inserting words i never asked for (ipad)

it is nice to be able from time to time to exchange a ‘lighter’ good natured comment as a switch from an intense argument

    37. @ Mickey Oberman:
From the road from Jerusalem – Jerico we have one of the best known stories of Jesus, the good Samaritan.
Even at the time of Jesus everybody knew this was a hard country. Nobody but tieves and robbers was living there
waiting for sombody to come up whithout suffissient defence and armes
