Americans are faced with several concurrent major internal threats. In addition to the economic disempowerment and disarming of the population, you have Muslim infiltration of your institutions, along with Muslim immigration and conversions. Also a creeping police state. The confluence of all that should give you nightmares. And it’s not just YOUR nightmare, Americans. It’s ours as well. Without Uncle Sam standing up for freedoms, we’re all doomed. ~~~~~ Instead of implementing policies that ensure freedoms, the USA elite has imported a new conscience and a new set of political guidelines from China, while seeking inspiration from old regimes such as the DDR and the USSR, where spying on citizens was rife, and where dissent was severely punished.

Obama gives himself permission to kill Americans, on mere suspicion – http://www.thedailysheeple.com/obama-gives-himself-permission-to-kill_022013 – Keep in mind that animal rights activists have been classified as “terrorists”. Exposing true information about industrial misdeeds that harms their bottom line can also be regarded as “terror” (particularly concerning the food industry). So, who decides who is a terorist?

Be careful you don’t offend your rulers’ sensitivities: Teacher suspended without pay for making unflattering references to Michelle Obama’s figure.” He was ordered to take sensitivity training, and was removed from teaching duties for the rest of the school year. In addition, he is required to meet monthly with the school system’s personnel director. http://www.theglobeandmail.com/life/the-hot-button/teacher-suspended-for-calling-the-first-lady-fat-butt-michelle-obama/article8278635/

I agree that this is very troubling.

Though the irony is amazing. In the 1940s, James Forrestal, the Secretary of Defense, was warning of Jewish infiltration of American institutions.

I am not equating Judaism with Islam morally. Islam is a horror.

But the irony is amusing; even if the present danger is real.

CO, you will have a field day with that.

I am not making a moral equivalence, just noting the irony.

      THIS IS TROUBLING IF TRUE.

      Another source:
      http://www.maggiesnotebook.com/2013/02/john-brennan-islam-convert-saudi-government-turned-him-sarah-palins-brennan-quote/

It is hard not to read Arabic sources and not be moved; so even if he is NOT turned, he may be very sympathetic which may be effectually just as bad.

There is more Saudi influence in the US Government than people realize.

    4. CuriousAmerican says:

What you may be dealing with is an Arabist.

While Islam is barbaric, it has a total world view which appeals to people. For ex: While the Arab family can kill you over honor, it will also tribally protect you. That protection can be appealing to people who came out of weak family backgrounds and are looking for a family they never had. Islam will provide that family; albeit at a cost. It is how cults work to find membership.

The most famous of this was Colonel Lawrence (of Arabia).

      He was an illegitimate son.

Lawrence remained Christian; but he embraced large amounts of Arab culture, and became a nightmare for the British establishment who wanted to set up the Mandate of Palestine. He worked whole heartedly against the Mandate, and represented the Arabs at Versailles.

Not just Lawrence, but a whole generation of wealthy students became Arabists.

Why? Because the British upper classes were brutal at that time. They shipped off their kids to Eton, where savage rites of passage were inflicted. Toughen up the Anglo-Saxons, to breed a superior stock.

But a lot of the kids came out psychologically destroyed. They felt abandoned by their families. I bet these became the Arabists.

Brennan may be an Arabist; which is effectually worse than a convert. Converts will trip up.

      Arabists will not.

What you have to check out is whether John O. Brennan got along well with his parents. I know that sounds crazy, but that is the key.

Now equate the above with Jews killing little Christians for their blood…..!!!! I double dare you to invoke blood libel argument.

I agree. I think the saudi govts have been influencing american officials through bribery, extortion, campaign financing,; all of which is doable under the table as a gentlemans agreement. Kickbacks related to oil pricing can be easily arranged also. The one common thread through everything from oil embargo, afghanistan/soviet war; 9-11; Libya; Syria, etc is the Saudis. Players in succeeding US govts work with the saudis to “play” the man on the street.

QUE UNA SORPRISA Who would have thunk it

    8. Susan H Somerville says:

This particular information – that John Brennan could be a convert to Islam – might have very far reaching effects. Let’s watch it!
On the other hand, I cannot stand listening to this guy, Trento, and watching him is worse. Play back the first quarter, and you will see that he picked his nose 2 times. Icksa!

    9. Michael Devolin says:

“I am not equating Judaism with Islam morally.”

If the Good Doctor is not equating Islam with Judaism, then where is the irony? I see in this remark a peek at the Good Doctor’s perspective of Jewish history: he remarks that he perceives an irony in that an American Secretary of State was worried about “Jewish infiltration” (a common antisemitic paranoia, especially in pre-war Nazi Germany)into American institutions way back in 1940 (about the time the Nazis started sending Jews down the stairs and into the gas chambers in Poland)as compared in a quantum leap into the present with the fears of most prudent Western minds (my own included) concerning the predatory behaviour of religiously zealous Muslims in their quest to make Islam the preponderant religion of the Western world. If he is not equating Muslims with Jews, then where is the irony? This is Jew-baiting. The Good Doctor is such a hard-core Jew-hater that he stumbles over his own feet.

There is no irony. Jews did not deny any non-Jew the same opportunities they had or didn’t have in Germany or in America. They worked hard for their successes. By foot and by fathom they achieved the greatness they’ve made proverbial with the very mention of their race and their Israel. Muslims conversely have done nothing but deny the non-Muslim, especially the Jew, the opportunities they’ve mostly squandered through internecine wars and conflicts (think PA and Hamas); they’ve murdered and maimed and attempted and failed at achieving the same successes as those accomplished by the Jewish people simply because no-one with any measure of IQ welcomes their aggression. If Jews have “infiltrated” Western institutions, it was by mere and mighty determination and vision and not by threat and throat-cutting, as is the practice of the Muslims who, on one end of their religious (not political, as in Isalm “Caesar is god”) spectrum, those whom David Starlight boasts of rubbing shoulders with, they poise themselves as nice to the Chabbad in California, but in any country outside their “nice” theatre of operations they behead and murder (as they did the nurses vaccinating children in Africa recently) anyone who they deem an obstacle to their religious preponderance.

The Good Doctor is so full of shit.

    10. Michael Devolin says:

“While the Arab family can kill you over honor, it will also tribally protect you. That protection can be appealing to people who came out of weak family backgrounds and are looking for a family they never had.”

And it’s so terribly sad Adolf Hitler didn’t have Arab neighbours when he was a wee boy in Austria; perhaps with their tribal protection, an Arab neighbour could have prevented dear little Adolf from a future of anti-Jewish hatred. Who knew that Arab neighbours could be so salubrious?

    11. dweller says:

Also, and more notably, street gangs.

“[Lawrence] worked whole heartedly against the Mandate…”

Only up until San Remo [1920].

It’s true that he was originally linked with the careerists who came to constitute the ruling clique of the Crown-designated, Brit military administration in Jerusalem — colonial apparatchiks transferred in from Cairo & Khartoum, who were directly charged with execution of the Mandate’s provisions — and who had, virtually from Day One, operated at cross-purposes to the Mandate’s stated objectives:

      — which those careerists viewed (as they did the French presence in Syria) as inimical to their own retro-colonialist dreams of an all-Arab Middle East, “supervised” by the British Empire.

However, after San Remo, which effectively separated northern from southern Syria (to create the 2 mandates: French in the North, British in the South) — Lawrence resigned himself to facilitating in his own curious way the development of the Mesopotamian AND Palestine Mandates.

Churchill, as Colonial Secretary, put great store by his judgment. Of course, whether Lawrence’s counsel amounted to discretion or sabotage is a worthy subject of exploration. . . .

“…and [Lawrence] represented the Arabs at Versailles.”

Actually, it was Faisal who represented the Arabs at Versailles. Lawrence (at least to all appearances) acted in an advisory role to Faisal. It was Lawrence who would encourage Faisal to pursue the throne of Syria — which he actually ruled till San Remo, shortly after which the French removed him (effectively, at gunpoint). At this juncture, Lawrence appears to have resigned himself to the Mandate system.

Of course, since he died in 1935, it’s hard to say how he would’ve related to it, had he lived out the decade.

      “Brennan may be an Arabist”

      Maybe.

“They felt abandoned by their families. I bet these became the Arabists.”

Interesting theory, but hard to square

      — as you must know — given your interest in Lebanon — the US Arabists THERE had long family traditions, often spanning several generations (American University in Beirut, etc).

Apparently the new filter blocks out any post which has a mention of the posters name to whom this was addressed, so I must make this post to the general public in order to facilitate the discussion and get an answer to my question regarding the assertion made.

@ yamit82:I’ve missed a lot of the posting, Yamit. Been cutting dead elm and oak and ash off frozen beaver ponds on my property and drawing them to a landing with a tractor…until we got all this freakin’ snow. Now it’s been milder these last couple days, so I’ve had more time (when I’m not working my paying job) to catch up.

    21. Honey Bee says:

      @ Michael Devolin:

Can I send you a bored c’boy to help. He is expensive to feed! An undocumented Texan.

    22. Michael Devolin says:

      “An undocumented Texan”

I’m scared to death of these Texans, Honey Bee. Remember, I’ve read every book Cormac McCarthy ever wrote, so I’ve heard all about those cowboys down there! Those guys are dangerous! They’re the kind of guys I like watching my back. did I tell you I was actually at Lonesome Dove ranch in Texas? The only time I’ve ever been out of Canada, and I went to Texas. I’m proud of that. Those cowboys laughed at my accent. Which was really funny because when I asked what they were laughing at, they replied, “Y’all have an accent.” That was hilarious. I really enjoyed myself, Honey Bee, and I fell in love with Texas.

      Talk to y’all later.

    23. Honey Bee says:

“Which part of your post demonstrated… that: he facilitated the Palestine Mandate(specifically regarding the benefit of the beneficiary)?”

Briefly, it was Lawrence’s letter of Jan 1921 which informed Churchill that Emir Feisal had “agreed to abandon all claim of his father to [Western] Palestine,” if Feisal got in return Iraq & Eastern [viz., Transjordanian] Palestine as Arab territories. (As I’ve suggested, there’s more to be said about it, but that’s the thumbnail edition.)

    27. dweller says:

      @ Michael Devolin:

“Good to see you, Dweller. Where have you been?”

      Out & about, collecting epithets.

Some folks collect stamps, motorcycles, fine wines, walking sticks. I seem to collect epithets:

      — “whore,” “weasel” (of the “well-oiled” variety), “disingenuous,” “arrogant,” “rude,” “pompous,” “hypocrite,” “wannabe professor,” “coward,” “pontificator,” “shit stink,” “moralizing preacher,” etc, etc, etc.

These were largely from the usual suspects

(plus a couple of new ones that hadn’t yet shown themselves till then).

But the collecting is all in a day’s work

      — amounts to speaking up, and bearing to hear one’s words “twisted by knaves, to make a trap for fools.”

      Anyway, that’s the short answer.

Nice to catch sight of you too.

    28. Honey Bee says:

      @ steven l:

The USA get is gas mainly from Canada ]Maple Leaf Forever\ which is why the pipe line is so important. Then there is Mexico, Venazuela, etc. South Texas is booming. It is the EU and Chine that depend on the Middle East.

    29. Honey Bee says:

I am listening to Robert Spencer and others discussing Brennans appointment. Very concerning.

    30. Honey Bee says:

      @ Michael Devolin:

The cowboys were hurahing you, they expected you to make smart a** comment in return. My c’boy is a master at this. Did you watch the Super Bowl, the farmer commercial was made in our county.
